But are they running in Dual channel? Either only 2 slots on the motherboard or in the correct 2 slots of 4, check your manual but its usually slot 2 and 4

RGB Header I have an UpHere fan hub which has an RGB connector with 3 pins however on my motherboard (Asrock AB350M) I can only find one RGB header and it has 4 pins on it. The connector has where the 4th pin would insert covered with plastic, how can i connect the RGB connector from my motherboard to my fan hub to make it work.

I'll try this but I only dig my quarterly fresh install like 2 weeks ago.

But I previously had a GTX 970 and was getting higher framerates (at a lower resolution) however that still shows the CPU is capable of the higher frame rates. Another example is I used to run PUBG at 120-140 FPS 1080p with a GTX 970 but now my GTX 1080 can't run it at 100 FPS even though the GPU doesn't go above 70% load.

I got a GTX 1080 and R5 1600 @ 3.8 GHz so the CPU isn't the bottle neck, the GPU can reach 100% in graphically demanding loads like playing Forza Horizon 3 at 3440x1440p maxed out it will get 70-80 FPS with 100% load but if I drop it to medium settings it will stay at 70-80 fps but only have 70% gpu usage, this is the case in most games. I also have a 120 Hz monitor so it isn't VSync related. The CPU usage never goes above 40-50% and I'm not maxing out my RAM either. It also can't be an issue with drive speed as I have RAID 0 SSDs (900-930 MB/s reads) Tried using graphics driver uninstaller tool and reinstalling the most recent drivers however that doesn't fix the issues. Suggestions welcome

Well you must have dislodged your GPU moving the PC somehow. Try open the PC and make sure the card is seated properly

Personally going from a 25” 1080p display to a 1440p 34” display the difference is very noticeable. Got the Acer X34P (Basically a slightly faster X34)

For twitch shooters like CS go with the higher refresh rate, end of conversatoin. IPS Generally has a higher input latency. If you're going to be playing easy to run games like CS you wouldn't be benefitting from Freesync so you'd be better off to save the money, plus I assume that you was only looking at polaris because of freesync so if thats the case try getting a 1070 with a regular 144Hz screen.

Try just using the other stick of RAM and see if that changes anything? EDIT: Also, how old is the PC? Is it a new build or has it been stable for a while? Did you make any upgrades? If you have another PC then put memtest86 onto a live USB and try running that, see if there's any errors on your RAM. Is there not the option to "Exit and windows 10" without going into recovery?

How many PCI-E x16 slots does it have? Something you can do is insert the GTX 1080TI and use the GTX 960 as a physics card. However in modern day that's kind of a useless practise. (In some cases hindering performance) As for the alternatives to the GTX 1080TI. In short; No, not really AMDs competition is slightly cheaper However it requires more power and less performance.

I just bought this wireless card from amazon and plugged it into my system. It's detected by device manager as some kind of "Network Controller" However, Windows will not install the drivers automatically. Also, the Drivers provided on their website do not show in the update driver section and even when trying to use their software utility it says it can not detect the wireless adaptor. Some notes: It is a 1x card but I have it installed into a 16x slot (It states that is is compatible) Any ideas? Thanks in advance for the help

You can install upto 6 other SATA devices there is a website that actually calculates a quite accurate continuous wattage for PC builds but I’m not sure on exactly what it’s called anymore

Throw an accent colour in. The black and white is very clean but it would be nice to just add a touch of colour. For example my PC is Black and Gun Metal but I have a touch of Gold. Just think it looks nice to spice it up a little rather than just 2 colours in the palette

The case is modular meaning you can remove some drive bays, basically the graphics card will overlap the bays so you will need to remove 1-2 but that’s fine. The M.2 error just means that 2 of the SATA ports on your motherboard will be disabled to used the M.2 slot. This is normal on high end M.2 SSDs. Essentially your motherboard has 8 SATA 6GB ports but with the M.2 SSD installed you can only use 6 due to the SSD using 2 on its own. Secondly the power supply should definitely suffice.

Just going to casually Hi-Jack this thread. Is it possible then to set it so downloading specific filetypes default to going on different drives?

It's on AHCI already.I tried that. And yes the drive has windows 10 installed. I'm going to just re-install it and buy a new key if I have to. Hopefully the GPU issues will be fixed with drivers. Thanks for the help, have a nice night at work.
