  1. Banned for not checking joining dates on the website! I joined the website almost a year before you! You stole half of my name, lol
  2. Banned because you tagged the wrong person (me) who had previously not seen this conversation at all and was surprised to even have any notifications on here
  3. I would like to go to a CPU with hyperthreading (7700k would be awesome), so probably one of the i7s that is compatible with my board. Upgrading to 1080 would be nice too except for GPU costs being sky high right now. Plus if I upgraded the GPU I would feel like the monitor would need an upgrade as well to not be wasted power. The CPU was the only part I didn't buy new in my whole build, so that's partially why I want to go with that one. I knew it worked and it was never overclocked (before I got it). As far as the monitor goes, I'm not terribly worried about going over 60 Hz. I would rather have 2k or 4k resolution with 60 Hz (Again 4k needing a 1080 or higher to be optimal) What about soft line/hard line water cooling? or just an AiO for the CPU? So far my temps in my case are pretty good. Idle with overclocking doesn't go over 30 Celsius, and in use usually around 50-60.
  4. If you could pick one thing for me to upgrade in my build what would it be? Only pick one thing, please. :) My PC Build: Case: Corsair Carbide Spec-03Motherboard: Asus z170-AR CPU: i5 6600KGraphics Card: Asus Dual GTX 1070RAM:16 GB Corsair vengeance 2667 Mhz (white)Power Supply: Corsair CS650M power supplyStorage: Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB SSD, WD Black 1 TB HDDFans: 2x140mm Corsair fans and 4x120mm Corsair Fans, all white LEDOptical Drives: Asus 24B3ST DVD ReaderMonitor: Asus VX24AH 2560x1440pHeadset: Razer Kraken 7.1 ChromaMouse: Razer Deathadder ChromaKeyboard: Razer Blackwidow Chroma V.2
  5. I honestly cannot decide what i want for a monitor, but it is narrowed down to these two. Which one do you guys think i should get? If it factors into the decision any, i have an Asus Z170-AR, and am getting an Asus Dual GTX 1070 very soon. 6. I figured out that the grey option is for headphones, so that's not part of the problem. Bumping to maybe get someone to read and have a potential solution.
  7. My PC is not detecting that my TV speakers are even present on my main (and only) display which is a Insignia 27" 720p. The wierd part about it is that it only happens the first time i boot each day. Restarting after that fixes it, and it won't happen the rest of the day. NS28DD310NA15 is the model of my TV if that helps, and my PC has an Asus Z170-AR with i5-6600K cpu. I have tried updating drivers, changing driver to windows driver instead of driver for motherboard, and using a slightly older driver. It's hard to tell if they really fix it or not because it fixes after i reboot even when i don't change anything, but i don't think that is making a difference. What can i do that will make it work the first time i boot? The first image below is what it looks like the first time i boot. After i reboot my TV shows up above the grey speaker option that always displays not plugged in. The second image is after i restart.
  8. But you don't KNOW that they don't, lol. So i still have hope. I know they aren't in the store.
  9. I know they have them. They gave one away in the video where Linus assembled the $10,000 dream build for guy won the contest.
  10. Hey guys, Odin here, hows it going? I really want to thank Linus and his awesome crew for all the inspiration and knowledge needed to build my first desktop. They are so creative and talented. But to my main question. Is there anywhere i can get a badge to put on my pc case to commemorate and celebrate it, as thanks for all their help with my first and likely many future builds.
