  1. Ran into problems, the cpu cooler i got looks like it has plastic pins that pop through the threaded holes but they are too big too fit...
  2. Not sure on the board size, but this is the board Intel® Server Board S5520HC (S5520HCR) And Xeon's are: Dual Intel Xeon E5506 they arent that powerful the ones i have are slightly more but im looking at something with a higher ghz than both. Also Came with 48gb of ram. http://www.natex.us/Intel-S5520HC-Dual-E5506-48Gb-Kit-p/intels5520hc-48gb..htm?gclid=CjwKEAjwmf6-BRDi9fSN7Ijt1wUSJAASawcjqF9RZ38etiK4p3imy3Acd6xXEfxy_dEWVRb90RRDIRoCDHLw_wcB this is where I got it. Im not sure what the LTT affilate code is Thats why I was thinking about mounting it to a board of sorts rather than a case kinda cheaper.
  3. So im building myself my first gaming PC. I have a motherboard but its a server board with dual xeons. finding a case not so easy so Ive decided to do an open system like Linus's test bench. provides a bit more heat dissipation i guess. but how do I mount it to a board? spacers? offsets? I know it should be elevated so the bottom side of the motherboard can breathe a bit but how do I do this? Also my motherboard has no screws... Any help at all would be much appreciated.
  4. dude your amazing! now I just need to find compatible ram and I should be good to go. does the screw and springs come with the after market cooler?
