Recently, I bought two servers, a rack, and a switch from a friend of mine. I've spent the past month getting everything set up and looking decent. I could've gotten it done sooner, but the rack he sold me had threaded, round holes instead of square holes that are more common for server rails, so I had to make some quick and dirty modifications and buy some extra components. All in all, I think it turned out quite nicely.
The servers in question are a Dell PowerEdge R510 and R610. The R610 has 40GB of DDR3 memory, two Xeon E5620s and is used for virtualization. The R510 has 16GB of DDR3 memory, one Xeon E5530, and is mainly used for auxiliary services, like an Apache Guacamole server I have running.
