Just don't know what to market it at. I have been able to get a steady OC of 4.2GHz on it with ease, and it pretty much handles anything you throw at it for gaming. Obviously if you're doing multi-task items Ryzen is definitely the better way to go. But yep, you have my feelings on the matter lol.

So I built my first rig with an i7-6800k and a Gigabyte GA-x99 Ultra Gaming configurator (not sure how much the whole name matters). From what I have seen this is kind of a pain for people to get their hands on. I thought about selling it, but the pricing privately is all over the place, and retail doesn't exist anymore. I thought about just turning it into a workstation for my job, but not sure. What would you guys do?

So an update, the panel on the case is completely fried affecting my fans and CPU so there was thermal throttling. After some rewiring it ultimately comes down to my case is fried :(. I luckily can game again, but a replacement is a top priority now. -
On the 12th day of Xmas my friend gave my pc frame loss
Jv2391 replied to Jv2391's topic in Troubleshooting
I have, but still get the same issues. Everything outside of games behaves perfectly fine, but inside of games the system drops 20-50 Frames in an instant. I am honestly baffled Normally it sits underneath my desk but we have just moved into a house and I haven't gotten everything setup how I want. -
So here is the situation I am facing: My Gaming pc is having serious frame rate drops when playing any games. Games I used to get 60-120FPS are down to 8-40 and it is very sporadic and inconsistent. Even with VSync on frames do not stay locked even when I turn down the settings (Even though I shouldn't have to for some of these games that I used to play in 4k 60+FPS). What happened was the Saturday after thanksgiving after cleaning up, my friend had left a full can of soda that had dropped and some of the soda got onto the power button/usb ports of the top of my case. That part of the case is not near anything major in the pc (MoBo, GPU, CPU, RAM, etc. all in a separate area and would not have been touched and I verified they weren't). The initial problem I faced was that the system would just constantly reboot itself. Makes sense because the power button had soda in it so I shut it down and didn't touch for almost a month. I then took everything apart, cleaned the button area, reassembled and turned off the function of the power button in windows. No more problems there. But when I try to play any games. My frame rates are terrible! I have rebuilt my OS twice into a completely clean slate. Removing everything! Still having the same issues with every single game no matter how non GPU intensive it is. At this point I am stumped. Any ideas and suggestions would be appreciated. I have been trying to get as much info as I can about it. I highly highly recommend the safety course if you ever do because it will make your insurance a little cheaper and it's just good knowledge overall. What I can't figure out is if I need a bigger bike because I am a bigger dude, or if I should stick with a smaller bike and work up to it. I have changed my mind about the topic at least 30 times.

Sometimes you gotta let loose and blow off some steam. Starting to realize that more and more as I get older... I think my motorcycle is my mid life crisis in my late 20's Good luck man! You got this just buckle down and kiss some ass

How is everyone doing? Any new things happening in life? Things you're excited about? Things you're looking forward to? New job? New hobby? I recently started a second MSP job on top of my current one to help buy a motorcycle. Anyone else doing anything stupid? Fun? Crazy? Weird? Interesting?
