  1. The psu is old and all I had laying around, got rid of my other ones like an idiot, it used to be in an old server I used as a home pc.
  2. I have tried it with the old gpu and it worked
  3. Now its an Ultra model number Win-500ps and it fine with the old GPU in
  4. I recently acquired an old Dell XPS 400 from a friend and decided to upgrade it a bit. First I swapped HDD's and put windows 7 on it, then I purchased a new MSI Radeon R7 250 OC edition and 4GB of ram, the max it can hold. When I got the new card I installed all the new drivers and software before installing the new card because there is no onboard video port. After I installed the drivers I put the card in, it then clicked three times and rebooted then repeated the process until I forced it off. During its off on process an amber led flashed on the Ethernet port and it displayed an error code of 1 and 4, from what I understand the numbers are similar to beep codes. I checked the power supply and I didn't meet the requirements for the card so I swapped it for an older 500w power supply I had hoping it would solve the problem, it didn't. I then looked up the code it was displaying and found that it apparently isn't a code or at least wasn't listed in the manual. Unfortunately I don't know what else to do the GPU should be compatible with it. Hopefully someone will be able to help me, Thanks. My system specs are here, http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/product-support/servicetag/597Z891/configuration PS, I also tried swapping the processor to a 3.0 Ghz Pentium 4 with hyper threading with no luck either, I have since switched back to the old one.
