NotDaveMustaine reacted to NelizMastr in Ryzen 5, Asus B350, and DDR4 3000 Problem
Did you raise the speed using a XMP/DOCP profile? Because the RAM won't ever run 3000MHz at the stock 1.2v DDR4 comes at. You'd be looking at about 1.3-1.35v typically.

NotDaveMustaine reacted to Fonograph in More Intel leaks.. this one is not good though
"But AMD might have big security problem too,Its just nobody knows about it yet"
LoL
Its not AMD who caused Windows and Linux to roll out update that will decrease speed by 40% "But,but....but AMD" LOL
Some of these post read like Intel PR bullcarp,I dont give a rats ass about some AMD security problem that nobody found yet and is not proven to exist when Intel have real problem and updates are rolled out that will cripple the speed becose Intel funked up,not just in theoretical fantasy realm of your head, but in IRL where it will have real impact on users.

NotDaveMustaine got a reaction from Wrb in What Cooler to Get?
Not to go off menu, but I'm a huge fan of the Cryorig H5. It's currently 48 pounds on UK Amazon (https://www.amazon.co.uk/cryorig-H5-Universal-Cooler-radiator-refoidisseurs/dp/B00MBTOY2S/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1496176943&sr=8-1&keywords=cryorig+h5). I use it to cool my OCed i7 6700k and it does so effortlessly. It also looks really good- an area where noctua drops the ball. The fan is pretty quiet, it's not unnecessarily massive, and it just plain works at a good price. As a bonus, the thermal paste included is no slouch either.

NotDaveMustaine reacted to The Sloth in Why do people not like Edzel?
i will state my opinion, i don't like him or hate him. he has more sarcastic and more teenage persona while Linus and luke can be fun but also can be serious when they need to be. Edzel reviews are less connected to the audience. Brandon hasn't done many reviews but when he does do one he is more genuine and interested in the subject.

NotDaveMustaine reacted to ARikozuM in Logitech Mousepads
I would recommend using the Glorious Extended. I used a Logitech pad but I'm liking the Glorious since it can cushion the wrist while using KB/M.
Unless you're Razer and love adding green RGB to everything.

Could be defective heat pipes or crappy default thermal paste. Well, there's definitely crappy thermal paste. Also, clean your fans out.

NotDaveMustaine got a reaction from Thinkfreely in 6800k and 1070 or 6700k and 1080?
Even for 3d modeling the returns on a 6800k over 6700k wouldn't justify the premium, in my opinion. Plus, a 1080 would be a significant improvement over a 1070. So I say the latter. But this is all more opinion than an exact science. But a 6700K can pretty much take anything you throw at it.

And heat out of the back is probably mostly the GPU, which is normal.

NotDaveMustaine reacted to zMeul in S340 Side panel increases temperature 10*
for optimal cooling you should have the same volume of air pulled in as the volume pushed out
since you only have a single 120mm pushing out, there is a very high pressure building inside going nowhere
