  1. Theoretically, I could go with some CPU focused build, with best cpu possible for like 300 bucks + mobo + ram, I guess that would work. But that's just the theory, so for me that doesn't exactly cut it. I liked the idea about i7-6700 tho, I'm just not sure if it's all that worth getting an i7. Wouldn't i5 perform somewhat similar to an i7 in editing for lower price? I mean, from my kinda limited understanding, wouldn't it be better to get i5 and something like 32gb ram?
  2. I cant really use my current gaming PC for editing because it constatly causes issues. Software like Premiere Pro and After Effects takes so much time to render anything its basically pointless to even try, Sony Vegas same story, CyberLink PowerDirector constantly crashes and hangs. Aside from those, I dont really use any other editing software, but I suspect same stuff would happen with any other. There's also an issue with the GPU that I got, R9 280x. For some unknown reason stuff like OpenGL hardware acceleration for software doesnt work, I suspect crappy drivers AMD makes. For gods sake, even that Crimson Edition software they make doesnt work properly, auto crash on start.Last reason: I plan to get entirely new rig sometime soon, because my current one isn't exactly upgradable, without completely changing the platform that is. Makes no point for me to get something entirely new, like new cpu for gaming and stuff, when in like 1 year time I'll be switching system completely, cpu n all.
  3. Hey all. I started a youtube channel and am looking for a budget editing rig. I've got a PC for gaming, but sadly, it has a lot of issues when it comes to editing and rendering, like humongous rendering times, since PC is based on AMD platform. Could ya'll help me build a rig just for editing? The cheaper the better, as I said, it will be used only for editing, nothing else, no need for fancy lights or something. Need only the rig, no peripherals or displays. If that helps, I live in Lithuania. Max price limit would be around 500 euros I guess, so would be cool to get the best editing rig for that money. Thanks in advance for help.
