  1. Hi, does anybody know where to buy the skip for the hp dragonfly with the scorpion and sword in black. I tought i would find it on the non sponsor / sponsor dbrand website but i its not there. Here the video (Minute 11:55):
  2. Hi, i have Build a PC around this Motherboard https://www.asus.com/de/motherboards-components/motherboards/workstation/pro-ws-wrx80e-sage-se-wifi-ii/ There is a extra card in it called : ASUS Hyper M.2 x16 Gen 4 I changed the Bios settings like in the manual to get the AMD Xpress Raid Konfig and could create a RAID5 out of the 4 Connected M.2 CARDs i put in the ASUS Hyper Card. In the Bios it shows a single volume with 6.xTB so far so good. But Windows shows 4 Single SSDs in the disk manage settings instead of 1 6TB. Any suggestions how to fix this?
  3. For some Feedback. The Konfig i initially postet worked well: 5x Kingston KC3000 PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD 2TB, M.2 (SKC3000D/2048G) 1x AMD Ryzen Threadripper PRO 5995WX, 64C/128T, 2.70-4.50GHz, boxed ohne Kühler (100-100000444WOF) 8x Samsung RDIMM 64GB, DDR4-3200, CL22-22-22, reg ECC (M393A8G40AB2-CWE) 1x PNY NVIDIA RTX 6000 Ada Generation, 48GB GDDR6, 4x DP, Smallbox (VCNRTX6000ADA-SB) 1x ASUS Pro WS WRX80E-Sage SE WIFI II (90MB1E60-M0EAY0) 1x Noctua NF-A15 PWM, 140mm 1x Noctua NH-U14S TR4-SP3 1x Fractal Design Meshify 2 XL Black TG Dark Tint, Glasfenster (FD-C-MES2X-01) 1x be quiet! 4. Any Suggestions for the Case an CPU Cooling ? RGB is not a thing =), i dont need extra fency. If its there, no problem but its not something i would take care of.
  5. If you find any, i dont. I checkt the Mainboard Manufacturer page and the only compatible ram that is listet is this one. https://www.asus.com/motherboards-components/motherboards/workstation/pro-ws-wrx80e-sage-se-wifi-ii/helpdesk_qvl_memory/?model2Name=Pro-WS-WRX80E-SAGE-SE-WIFI-II
  6. I use the system for work. And with growing projects it is way to slow. Actually i run into the issue that in the last step after 4 Days of work it turned out that the textures mapping is always blurry. Reason was in step 1 Camera Alignment so i need to do all again. This time i did only a sample of all pictures and try to optimise this as much as possible. After getting good result i starte over with the complete set. But the time pressure wasnt funny. And if i can cut all proccessing to 1/4 of time only by getting 4 Times the cpu core amout its every penny worth :D.
  7. Hi, i need to setup a replacement for my current 3D Render System. Actually iam Using a Threadripper 1950x - 64GB RAM - 2x M2 2TB Samsung Pro - RTX A 1200. My current Projects take arount 3-5 Days Rendertime for all steps so way to much to practical for me. And this is when i set an alarm clock an start the next step somewhere in the night :D. Actually i do genereate 3D Models from Drone Pictures but it takes very long to handle large Projects with 3-5k Pictures. The Programm iam Using Scales 1:1 in terms of CPU Cores so more is better. Its linear scale. In 60% of the Processing time only the CPU is been used. For RAM ist a bit different, depends on the Amount of Points in my Dense cloud how much i need. But actually iam often limit with this factor so i need at least 256 to not run that often in quality downgradings through RAM limitations. For the GPU i need a lot of VRAM to Render the Polymodel out of the Dense Cloud. I use a excel sheet from the program manufacturer to calculate the need of my current project with the settings i want. So most time 30-35gb vram is the sweet spot. Here my current system i like to buy: https://geizhals.de/wishlists/3204389 For the money. Lets say for now i dont need to care to much about the pricetag. My Questions are: 1. Can someone confirm that the current config will work in terms of compatibiliy ? I check multiple times but i dont have so much exp. with the newest Threadripper. 2. The A100 is in the Setup cause i try to train an llma with my own data. And yes it is alot. I dont have any clue how much i need but thats the biggest i could found :D. Maybe the quadro would be enouth but who knows and if i dont need it, i can use it for the first purpose to render big models that need lots of vram.
  8. So install 3 cards to manage this.
  9. I would change: CPU Cooler : Be Quiet Dark Rock RIP HDD and go for 1tb ssd If you really need 2tb go for seagate firecuda 2tb. Its really nice even for games Go for 1660 super or rtx 2060 super PSU: I would grab a seasonic full modular like Seasonic Focus+ Gold 550W
  10. I would at least go with something like if you can afford 40 bucks extra. https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-1339013 Its AM4, the GPU is much faster and you can plug in modern cpu if you wanna expand later.
  11. Hi, i build a pc for 3 vms. Basicly the people who use this machines are doing primar office work. So here the config: https://geizhals.de/?cat=WL-1334772 What i cant figure out is. Every Person has has two monitors so 6 in total. Can i use the Saphire GPRO 6200 which supports 6 monitors to give each vm 2 ports of this card or do i have to put in 3 gpus to solve this problem?
  12. Especially your last sentence is what i think too. Choose differfent kind of backup technology brings the real safety. Best example is in days like ransomeware can encrypt network dirves as fast as eating an apple tapes cant be attacked by this. Of course when your backup writes the encrypt data you have a problem but this could be prevented. Only work with harddrives is even if you mirror you data to a data center not without risk. And at least tapes are small in relation to capacity and have a nice durability in relation to hdd or ssd especially worm disks.
  13. Tanks a lot for this hint i will take my time to test this in our system and give some feedback here.
  14. Dont want to to query your knowlage but i know what a lot of data means. 24 Tapes each two weeks, 56 weeks a year, 5 years of history. You can sum this up yourself, i think it will enough. But to go with my probl. again. We have to Backup at 40TB a week so if i downt want to dig a deep whole and pay some money for a darkfiber to the next data center, i will have no chance to backup into a data center. It is possible to buy this connection but yeah i try to fix the problem with the tape first swing and dig with hammer an shovel :D. And as you see above i backup two ways B2T and B2D. So technically the tapeloader should work with a speed of 500gb up to 2tb at an hour. We have arount 250gb/hr so i try to find the prob. The Data is precompressed so no prob. with change data size and amount. Here are the spec. http://www.overlandstorage.com/products/tape-libraries-and-autoloaders/neos-t24.aspx#Specifications
  15. I dont have a Problem with tape switching. I use a Tapeloader with 24 LTO5 Tapes. They are automaticly switching. Veeam is capable of ordering all tapes to different virtual archives. Works extremly nice.
