make sure to always have the most over kill cooler, unlike Linus and that other video they are using basic coolers that are unable to dissipate enough heat. . . Not having a amp is like running a under preforming cpu with a GTX 1080, you wont hear the details unless you give the headphones the power it needs. I have a asus xonar stx soundcard with in built amp paired with a sennhieser HD600, best way to make the most of your purchase is to split your budget in half and get a amp-dac and headphones. or by everyone's suggestion there could be a awesome cheap amp-dac and spend the rest on some good headphones, the reason why i say amp-dac is because a high quality amp needs a high quality DAC instead of the mobo headphone connection, but to get around this you can get a amp-dac combo in the form of a box or get a sound card with a inbuilt amp. (I have no experience with FL) Have you tried disabling the sound driver that relates to your speakers?

Is the harddrive SATA or IDE? If IDE: there is a jumper pin you need to set as master if you want to run windows off of it or slave if you want to view it like a secondary drive. if SATA: go into your bios and set the boot priority to your HDD and restart

Ive had Winamp since forever for playing my lossless music files, is there anything better out there? Dont get me wrong ive been happy with winamp but there does get to a point when some new software comes out and is better than another. Thanks a bunch

For optimal quality i turn the volume up max on the pc then adjust the sound on my amp to my prefrence, its always highest at the source so software will always be max and then adjust the pc to max then the amp to prefrence.

I know the gains wasnt worth it in the end, i could not OC any further and if i ever sell it i dont want a custom bios on it
