SirFlamenco got a reaction from i_build_nanosuits in Triple 4k screens
This thread is 3 years old, obviously I didn't recommend a 2080ti because it didn't exist

Actually no you can have more than 2 for gaming. I think it's his only option if he wants maxed 60 fps @ 3x4k

Ideally you could buy 3 1080 or 3 1080ti, each of them powering a single monitor.

SirFlamenco reacted to Astro5872 in Different SLI Auto with GTX 1060 3GB + GTX 960 2GB
Hi, this is my first post on this forum so please tell me if i'm doing anything wrong, anyways I recently got myself a shiny new GTX 1060 3GB from the prime day sale and my 960 has no use but. I heard of this program that allows two different graphics cards to be working in SLI. And wondering if this combination of cards would work. If anyone knows anything about this please tell me, I've looked everywhere and couldn't find anything about this.

BAD ADVICE, the A240G is in aluminium, and there would be galvanic corrosion

SirFlamenco got a reaction from AnalogCanavity in When the reference card comes out, how log does it take for the aftermarket ones.
Well as others said the custom pcb cards release 1+ month later but most of the time the reference board is actually the best one, and aftermarket coolers with it release faster.

SirFlamenco reacted to Airdragonz in Rgb header?
I think you are confused. There are 2 different types of standards. RGB and RGBw. To create colors, RGB mixes the colors of red, green, and blue. Now as you can imagine, this doesn't allow the color white to look so "white". RGBw eliminates this problem by mixing the colors of red, green, blue, AND white. This allows you to produce a pure and clean white. So to answer your question directly, yes you can produce any color, including white. But the white will look slightly tinted.

SirFlamenco reacted to Sheamar in THANK YOU LTT!!!
Hello. My Name is Sheamar White and I am less than 16 years of age. I live in Jamaica and is in love with gaming and computing. I don't know what I want to do in the future but I want it to be along the line of computing as a whole. So anything from programming to making personalized PCs for people to just repairing computing products, but to the point now. Aside from people like Austin Evans or MKBHD or even Lou(I think that's how you spell his name) from Unbox Therapy, you are really the first channel I have seen to really go in depth with explaining the different components and aspects of computing and gaming and for that I would like to Thank You Linus Tech Tips for making it possible for me to be able to get a better understanding of computing and gaming as a whole. Before I found your channel, I knew Austin Evans which lead to me knowing MKBHD,Unbox Therapy and so forth. And while I was watching one of his PC builds, he was saying some words that I had no clue about so I wrote down the words I didn't know and searched for them on YouTube. And one channel kept popping up every time I searched for something and that was techquickie. It helped me understand a lot of things about computers that I always wanted to know. Then I realized you had a main channel called Linus Tech Tips and even though its along the lines of the same things like on the previously mentioned channels, yours were just full of in depth explanation into what something was and that was really helpful to me. And again I would like to Thank You. Half the things I know now is because of your channels Techquickie and Linus Tech Tips. Right know, I'm planning on building a gaming PC before summer because I want to experience the same thrill of completing a PC build. I know that there are going to be trials and errors but based on how you guys look when you finish building a PC(even the 69 dollar gaming PC which was a cool idea)made it look like it was all worth it. So once again Thank You and I hope for only the best in the future.#HAPPY2018

Yea plus I prefer getting 30 fps stable with no dips and there are much more exclusivites on console, along with way less hacking.

SirFlamenco got a reaction from i_build_nanosuits in Radeon in general
Why does AMD always gotta catch up to Nvidia. Are there any reasons why they can't come up with better products in the first place? With their recent overpriced nuclear power plant Vega which is late and not so great in games, I think that this is not a suitable business model. Anyone agrees?

SirFlamenco reacted to Red Green Blue in Linus becoming an AMD Fanboy?
RED GREEN BLUE
Hello everybody, i'm new to the forums so please don't stab me.
I have recently spotted something, when Intel announced their Core i9 Linus was pretty silent about it, he made very few videos about it and most are literally mocking Intel for no reason,
A week or two passed after the release and then he's just silent about Intel but is STILL uploading videos about Ryzen and is trying to create lots of hype around Epyc and Threadripper.
Now he has just pushed Intel and Nvidia to the side and only really talking about AMD. He even started click-baiting again.
I really don't want Linus to become some corporate douche who only focuses on AMD and doesn't think about any other company, i even once had a thought that AMD is beginning to pay Linus cash so he advertises them.
What are your thoughts about it?

SirFlamenco got a reaction from EnergyEclipse in Voxel's Box v1 - First Custom Loop Build Log
You 1050ti peasant. Go put a paper bag on your head and bury yourself. Nah but seriously, minus that gpu, this build is perfect. Defenitively saving that image to my iPhone. Mind if I ask you how much your watercooling cost in total?

SirFlamenco got a reaction from BingoFishy in Demystifying the max 2 gpu myth..
Hi !
So as seeing as much ignorance on this forum is bleach worthy, I will demisitfy something for you today *Mindblown*. It's the 3 and 4 way sli pascal myth. Because YES, you can use that in game, Wonder how? Well, with that :
It's basically tricking the gpu that you are in a benchmark (Catzilla I think in this video) through Nvidia Inspector. Really easy to do and take only one minute. Scaling is really great on games as shown there :
And also :
So that was all for me, hope you learned something new today

Multi-GPU with Dx12. They're moving away from it because you wont need it anymore.

SirFlamenco reacted to tom_w141 in AMD RX Vega x2 Allegedly In The Works By Asus, To Be Liquid Cooled
How many games include this feature? I can't think of any.
I predict its too much effort and devs won't touch it. Generational leaps on single cards are more than good enough to suit our current needs. 1080p is still mainstream and we have 4k capable cards already.

Yeah I would rather go with AMD
-
SirFlamenco reacted to Max_Settings in WHEN ARE THE ASUS RAMPAGE x299 MOBOS COMING?
That's a considerable difference in speed considering that a 6 core is killing AMDs top tier 8 core in rendering

SirFlamenco reacted to DrMacintosh in WHEN ARE THE ASUS RAMPAGE x299 MOBOS COMING?
You do know that Ryzen 7 is not AMDs top of the line CPU right? And also that Intel charges significantly more
