RTX 3090 SLI - We Tried so Hard to Love It
SirFlamenco replied to AlexTheGreatish's topic in LTT Releases
No, what you said is false. It simply doesn't support it, only MGPU over a bridge. SLI has stopped being developped since the first of january for Turing. -
RTX 3090 SLI - We Tried so Hard to Love It
SirFlamenco replied to AlexTheGreatish's topic in LTT Releases
You're very much wrong. The RTX 3090 is the only GPU from Ampere to support SLI. This isn't really SLI though, more like DX12/Vulkan MGPU over a bridge. Even then, there are only 13 games supported, with only 1 having been released in the last year. Turing has dropped actual SLI the first of january, which means no one will code for it anymore. SLI is dead. -
RTX 3090 SLI - We Tried so Hard to Love It
SirFlamenco replied to AlexTheGreatish's topic in LTT Releases
You're wrong though, the 3090 really only supports the game listed in this article : NVIDIA SLI Support Transitioning to Native Game Integrations | NVIDIA (custhelp.com) On top of that, since January 1 even Turing isn't getting new SLI profiles. -
This thread is 3 years old, obviously I didn't recommend a 2080ti because it didn't exist

Hey! So I have experienced different ways to make my 1080p monitor look better in games, and I stumbled upon AMD's Virtual Super Resolution (VSR), similar to Nvidia's DSR, which is basically downsampling. Now, I enabled it and set my resolution to 4K in games, but I don't see a big difference, in fact, I don't even think I can really see it. So I set my resolution back to 1080p, and instead turned the resolution scale slider to 200%, thus also rendering at 4k, and the difference is MASSIVE. But I am also left to wander, why isn't downsampling giving similar results?

So I have tried to boot in legacy mode but I still can’t boot successfully. I then put in the installation disc, which seems to show up as 2 options : normal and UEFI. When I disabled CSM which make the UEFI/Legacy options dissapear the windows installation disc wouldn’t work. After I put CSM , I boot into the windows setup. The "Upgrade" installation doesn’t seem to work, and the custom is giving me several partitions that all say Windows can’t be installed because the partition is "Microsoft recovery partition" but the disc is GPT. What should I do? Both of the normal installation disc options (UEFI and normal) do that.

Hi! I recently did a clean install on my pc, and everything went well, but I saw I had an outdated BIOS version so I decided to update it using Gigabyte’s Q-flash. Then, something weird happened when it finished. It rebooted 2 times, but couldn’t go to windows and left me at the bios. No biggie, I thought. I took out the usb card for the bios and the windows 10 disc I used for the clean install because I thought I wouldn’t need them. I retried booting to windows but it still didn’t work. I then tried to install the usb card and the disc to give me as many boot options as possible, but all of them only try to boot for 2 seconds and then they come back at the boot menu/bios. I couldn’t resintall windows, and someone told me it’s because windows will not work when the bios is corrupted. So my question is, how do I get to boot to Windows? Were there any automatic backups I could use? Edit : I have a 4tb hard drive with a 32gb optane. I used a 16gb usb drive to install windows. My motherboard is a Gigabyte z370 AORUS gaming 5. Here is a video of what happens when I try to load each boot options :

Best Buy broke my monitor. Any resorts of getting it replaced?
SirFlamenco replied to SirFlamenco's topic in Displays
It did not, there are unfortunatly no such warranties. I am concsious that cracks expand, The thing is, I had it broken for 3 weeks and it showed no signs of getting worse. When I got it back though, it was fucking massacred and I can't use half of the screen now. I was very careful with it when I transported it. Do you think there is something I could do? -
Hi ! Long story short, I unintentionally broke my chg90. I brought it to the store, where they took it for a few weeks to evaluate the damages. When I got it back, they said they didn’t repair it because it was not covered by the extended warranty. Ah well. When I took it home and plugged it in, I saw that they worsened the damages by far. The crack is now two times bigger, and pixel lines are appearing on the sides. I have a photo of before and after. Has anyone been in similar situation?

Yeah I did.. If you don’t have any relevant answers don’t post memes on a support thread.

I left my computer for a few hours, and when I was back it was updating. When it finished, I logged in but I was met with a black screen and a small window saying that windows explorer is not responding. I can still move my mouse and do ctrl-alt-delete. Any help? Thanks

I tried to install battlefield 4 and its dlcs today, but it seems like at the stade of finishing, (so when it’s after 100%) it says error 327684:1, with something about directx. I installed battlefield 1 a few minutes before, and everything was fine. Could someone please help? I have other games in queue and it doesn't work with them either, but I really don’t want to loose hundreds of dollars. Edit : Tried running it as an administrator and reinstalled it, doesn't work

So when I download games from steam and origin, the speed is about 8mb/s and I find that quite slow. Is it normal? Hi So I set a certain download to open with an app that is incompatible (yea I'm dumb) but now that I have the correct program to open it (WinRAR), I want to change actually open with WinRAR. How can I do this? Thanks!
-
Well I reinstalled Windows without a USB drive, and now I am running the latest version. Taskbar isn’t working though, and I am in the process of returning back to the previous version.

Yea I put « disableantispyware » and set the value to 1 but today I deleted the entry. I can’t reinstall Windows though, it won’t let me. Also, I can’t update, it’s stuck at 25%. My guess is that it’s related to windows defender not working properly.
