  1. Just bought a brand-new NZXT Kraken x52 for my PC and am currently having some real issues with it. On booting the PC after installing I get a "CPU Fan Error, Press F1 to run setup" which I've temporarily solved by turning off CPU fan monitoring Once the PC actually booted the pump didn't light up at all although the pump was going at it was definitely keeping my CPU very cool but running rather loud And finally NZXT CAM can't seem to detect it, I press 'Detect Devices', get a nice loading bar and then nothing Has anyone got any advice to solve any of these 3 issues?
  2. Well I wasn't too sure about that, my Msi Armor 980 doesn't runs around 75-80 degrees with 3 intake fans, I was worried that if i put a rad in front then it would get even less airflow and overheat but that is a possibility
  3. I'm currently looking at getting an AIO for my system as my little arctic freezer i32 is no longer up to the job and looks pretty ugly. Currently its a toss up between the Cooler Master Master Liquid 120 Pro, NZXT Kraken M22 and the Corsair H75. Does anyone have any opinions on which is best or would like to enter a 4th option? I'm looking for a nice balance of performance and low noise levels ideally with emphasis on the low noise levels. Thanks for any help in advance Specs: CPU - i5-6600K @4.4GHz (Want to take it to 4.6-4.7) Motherboard - ASUS Z170 Pro Gaming Memory - 1x8GB Crucial Balistix Sport Case - Corsair c460x RGB Note: I can't use 240/280 mm rads because my case (Corsair c460x) can't support a large rad in the top due to ram clearance Note 2: I know I could get better cooling with a colossal heat-sink instead but I'd prefer an AIO just for aesthetic reasons more than anything else.
  4. In which case I would recommend doing a clean install of NVIDIA drivers, launch NVIDIA GeForce Experience and clicked on "Re-install drivers". Then click on "Custom Installation" and click on the "Clean Install" option.
  5. It's currently sitting on some foam on the motherboard box, I can't think where the short would be occurring otherwise.
  6. What do you mean by you can only use 60hz? If you go into display properties is there no 75hz option?
  7. I've just got all of the parts I need for a new PC so I fitted the cpu, heatsink, ram and psu into the motherboard as usual to test, connected the two power pins and nothing happens. The cpu and psu fans start spinning for about 3 seconds, no signal is sent to the monitor and then they stop spinning. This loop then repeats itself until I turn off the psu as shorting the two power pins again doesn't turn off the system. Does anyone have any idea what's going on? The motherboard is an Asrock B250M PRO4, cpu is i5-7600k, ram is crucial balstix sports 16gb (4x4) and psu is a bequiet! Pure Power 10 400W.
  8. I don't own any such motherboard but I may try and buy a new retention bracket if asrock doesn't help. Thanks for the advice
  9. Forgot that was an option. I have contacted asrock about my issue. Thanks
  10. I've built a couple of PCs in the past but I was doing another recently and the retention mechanism just fell out of place and failed and I can't get it back in so I can't lock the CPU in place. What can I do about this? I have no way of securing the CPU and I'm really worried about bending the motherboard pins trying to fix it myself. Any tips would be greatly appreciated It's really hard to see in the photo but there are two little catches that have somehow come away from the retention arm.
  11. What do you mean by 'done plenty' sorry? In your main build you have listed I see you have only one 1050ti which probably draws less power than a single 980, let alone 2. Just curious
  12. All looks really good from what I can see. Just out of curiosity, why do you need 32GB of RAM? For the average gamer even 16GB is overkill so 32 seems just a bit over the top for anything other than aesthetics from filling up all 4 memory slots.
  13. Sound wise, there should be pretty much no difference so long as the two headsets are of similar quality. The only major difference between wired and wireless headsets tends to be latency so wired headsets are the way to go if you worry about that super fast response time jazz but otherwise wireless will do perfectly.
  14. I've just ordered a second GTX 980 to put in SLI with by current 980 but now I've got it I'm not sure my PSU is up to the job. I currently have a 650w XFX PSU (Modified to actually have a decent fan) but when I went on CoolerMaster's PSU calculator It suggested that my peak wattage would be 610-630 depending on OC levels whereas PCPartPicker says I'll use around 550w. I would appreciate some more experianced opinions on whether I should upgrade to a higher wattage PSU or if my current setup will do fine.
