  2. [SOLVED]!! Hi Everybody. I recently completed a desktop build (with some advice from LTT forums!) and it's turned out great. However, one very minor occurrence I've noticed is that in google chrome, sometimes GIFs will "glitch out" for lack of a better term, with black streaks and artifacts covering it. It doesn't happen on firefox(with HW acc enabled), and it doesn't happen in chrome if i disable hardware acceleration. So far i've reinstalled my drivers through Geforce experience, and re-installed chrome, with no luck. It's really not a big deal, but I was wondering if this has happened to anybody else, or if anybody knows of a fix. I attatched a pic of the black glitch, as well as a speccy for my system. Thanks for any input, hope you had a great day
  3. Thanks for filling me in, I already updated it in my build. I definitely don't want to damage any of my components.
  4. I'm switching it out for a Corsair SF, thanks for the reccomendations! Is this What you're talking about? Looks like a smart move, Thanks for the advice.
  5. The case actually has a built in 450w power, pretty neat. From the sources I read, it seemed Hitachi had the lowest failure rates compared to Seagate or WD. This is a great idea, switching to a single 8gb so i can keep it open for upgrading to 16. I can't imagine myself using 32, though. Thanks!
  6. I think I've finalized my parts list, but wanted to make one more post before I get out the credit card and start ordering. This is my second Build, which is going to be a smaller formfactor so it's more mobile. Mainly used for light gaming, Media playing and 2D drawing, in Photoshop. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! If everything goes well I'll start ordering tomorrow morning. 7. Hi Guys, I'm about to finalize my second PC Build and this time I'm going for the smaller form-factor Mini-ITX build. The idea is, it will be easier to take with me into small apartment rooms, etc. The main uses for this will be digital art (2D), in programs like Photoshop and Paint tool SAI, as well as light gaming. However, I am planning on getting a 2560x1440 monitor. I will NOT be doing any video editing or 3D work. My main questions are these: Should I stick with the i5-6500 or would an i3-6100 be enough? Is My DDR4 RAM set up correctly? Is 450w power supply enough? I really appreciate any input that you guys have, and I'm looking forward to browsing around on the forum. Also I'll make sure to post pics once the build is complete. Thanks!
