The worst thing is when you got to somewhere like PC World and the assistant asks " can i help you ", so you say what your problem is or what you need and they just stand there like .... "what" haha

Okay guys, here it is! The case is nearly done, just need to get the acrylic windows on get the front panel Corsair piece on after cutting.
Maybe some of you have been waiting to see this since I announce the chrome painting. I hope you guys won't be disappointed as it this is not chrome but still looks very very good and I really like it. Like I explained, actual chrome paint or chrome plating would have been too expensive for my budged.
The panels are spot on and any imperfections you may see are all reflections from the surroundings. Though to bring the case outside to really showcase the paint job.
The front panel and also the rear case feet have been colour matched to the blue powder coat!
You can also see I made an acrylic piece and mounted it on the inside to cover the 5.25" bay. Drilled a small hole in the middle for the power button cable.
Dust filter
And the front panel cover, might need some cleaning up around the edges but really happy with the glossy look
Here is a good look at the side panel paint job
Will end up using the Blue vandal switch, fits better than the nickel plated one. Lucky Bill sent me this one too!
And this is the front panel cover, the Corsair shape will be cut out and then painted same as the side panels. This will be stuck over the original front panel cover and still be able to use the clip on feature and access the dust filter behind it.
Let me know what you guys think! Shady here seems to approve!
Thanks for checking it out!
Cheers,

n o t e │ As I've flipped the CPU block 90 degrees, I took this moment to also rotate the EK logo, as it's almost impossible to get in there with all the tubing in place. It was tingling my OCD.
n o t e │ Also got rid of all the stickers I could find, because as you well know, you don't truly own something until you've voided the warranty.
n o t e │ All fittings screwed in firmly. Also swapped the rings on the Corsair fans for the white ones, as the blue ones would clash slightly being a different hue than the coolant.
n o t e │ Way too neatly laid out tissues. It's a sickness.
n o t e │ Using Mayhems Pastel Blue Berry coolant, which should really make the tubing pop.
n o t e │ Having everything else in rather dull monotone colors, it was so nice finally getting some color in there, and it also matches the little blue accents on the power supply nicely.
And more importantly, no leaks! Had been running at about three hours at this point.

It out performs Intel a bit because the 650 is a bottleneck. Put in a high end GPU like a 970/290x and the i5 will win hands down. So nice try.

joemc99 got a reaction from JSind11 in Steam Logo coasters made with schools laser cutter/engraver
I am currently creating a project for my coursework in electronics and it involves using schools laser cutter/engravers (Gravograph Ls100 and Gravograph ls900) and basically the cut that i was doing in acrylic for my casing left a center piece that was excess and would be thrown away. I decided that this was a waste so i created a steam logo vector and engraved it into the acrylic. the results were decent however i had alignment issues due to a printing error so the logo is not quite centered but it still looks awesome.
Edit: Ive decided that because i have more acrylic pieces to cut, this is beta v1.0
