  1. Several second-hand gaming PCs that I repurposed over the years were built in this case.... Man, **** this case lol. The older ones used molex and inline switches for fan power/speed and its got some nasty edges.
  2. This is the only consumer oriented option I can find: https://www.autonomous.ai/standing-desks/quartersign-computer-desk-with-hidden-dual-monitor-lift-by-quartersign1644589144 There are a lot more options for desks like this in the education space but they have that computer lab look to match. Seems like custom fabrication is the only option if the above does not work for you. Based on the $2000 price tag above I would agree that $3000 for custom fab sounds right.
  3. Ordered mine on 3/6, arriving 4/28. Very disappointing delay after it was originally listed as arriving 3/10. Apparently the delays are because they don't have enough monitor stands. I own so many vesa arms, never taking that part out of the box anyways lol.
  4. Hello folks, just hoping to get a PSA out there that Corsair's keyboard software soaks resources, and specifically it's pretty taxing in terms of disk I/O. If you're using an older CPU, as this family member's FX 8350 is, you could notice serious performance penalties from all the context switching overhead. There was pretty inexcusable performance in Source titles on this system until I killed the ICue process and disabled Corsair's system services. I don't know how you make keyboards this poorly performant, but Corsair found a way.
  5. Oh totally the second thing. Additionally, this is the first time they ever switched for a whole episode: Which would not occur again until: I spent.... a long time scrolling. And they've been talking about Star Citizen for like six years or something.
  6. They sat that way from the very beginning until getting the warehouse
  7. I thought it might be the modem daughter card listed in Lenovo's full specs, but it turns out that's for cellular data probably. (The white-ish connector directly above the EXPCARD Connector, between the screws.) There's nothing in Lenovo's accessory page for that series of desktops either, and there's no reference on the spec sheet for the chipset. I'm going to agree with NumLock21, probably a proprietary header to add an express card slot on some models.

    Help me!

Step 1: Did you use a Microsoft Account to log into Windows previously, or do you have a Key? If so, go to step A2. If not, go to C2. Step A2: Did you run Windows at any point after upgrading? If you did, and you did not have any issues with activation, go to step A3. If you did not, or had activation errors, go to step B2. Step A3: Re-install Windows. You'll need to create Windows Media using the Media Creation Tool on another windows PC, and you'll need an 8GB or larger USB drive. Step A4: Log in with your Microsoft account. This should automatically activate Windows. You're done! Step B2: Re-install Windows. You'll need to create Windows Media using the Media Creation Tool on another windows PC, and you'll need an 8GB or larger USB drive. Step B3: Try logging in with your Microsoft account, or using your key to activate if you previously had a Windows 10 Key. If this activates Windows, you're done! Otherwise, continue to B4. Step B4: Follow the steps of KB20530. You may need to contact Microsoft with the link at the bottom of the page if the troubleshooting steps do not work. I recommend text chat over a phone call. After this, you should be done. Step C2: If you got here, you need to buy a new Windows Key. Sorry. Edit: For future reference, it is always advisable to have your activation linked to your Microsoft Account as a digital entitlement, since keys are basically non-transferable anyways.
  9. I'll say it here too: Getting tired of the forced No Man's Sky jokes in these scripts. It's like /r/fellowkids kind of pandering.
  10. Monoprice sells a variety of Desk mounts and stands. The free standing mounts are like typical feet, whereas the bracket mounts clamp to the edge of the desk (if you have a large enough edge. https://www.monoprice.com/category?pg_no=1&c_id=113&cp_id=11326&searchtype=MultiCategoryId&fq=MultiMainCategoryId:113&fq=MultiCategoryId:11326&fq=is_parent:True&fq=is_parent:True
  11. For wide array of reasons, I'm looking to move from my Corsair C70 to a Bitfenix Prodigy. I need something I can strap into my passenger seat and reasonably carry across a parking lot once a week. While I'm saving up to move to Ryzen later this year, I was looking to see if I could just grab a z77 ITX board, but all I see on ebay is a sea of non-overclockable parts. Is there somewhere better to find few-years-old components, or am I SOL for this summer?
  12. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00V8S9XU6/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 I got one of these, highly recommend it
  13. The FX-8350 is a really old processor that was not competitive when it was released and is finally going to be replaced soon after many long years. Look into AMD Ryzen to find out more about whats coming, cause its really neat.
  14. Thanks very much! Hopefully anyone else with this question will know now too
