  1. So at the moment I have installed numpy using pip (maybe not correctly). I have tried looking stuff up, but there is not much help. If someone could just describe the process of installing numpy on my mac and getting it to work with python, I'd appreciate it. I'm using python 3.6, so I do have pip etc. installed by default.
  2. I just installed windows on my pc, and I can't figure out how to connect to the wifi. I amusing the asus hero vIII, and I'm not sure if that had onboard wifi. I tried installing the disc driver but I can't figure out how to make it work
  3. So I just finished building my computer, and I literally have the BIOS running right now, and I need to figure out how to download windows from Microsoft on my mac onto a usb, and then from the usb onto my SSD. Also, any tips for BIOS settings?
  4. So I'm in the eighth grade and(forgive my vanity) consider myself relatively smart, and was wondering, considering the extent of my education is the eighth grade, what some interesting and understandable higher level concepts and things to learn about might be, specifically in literature and english, math, and science. I have personally dabbled just a bit in philosophy as well, having read part of The Republic, and have had a similar discussion as in the book with my parents. Politics, and other similar topics interest me as well. Logic is another. Thanks! Also apologies for seeming pretentious, condescending, etc. in advance.
  5. Umm, ya, I had to hound my science teacher for five days to actually grade my paper, after he had graded everyone else's, and a lot of stuff really seems arbitrary, especially in english and math.
  6. Thanks for the feedback! I definitely plan on testing out, and ya high school will be a lot better in terms of choosing what I want to do, so thanks for the understanding!
  7. OK, you make a fair point, I am in the 8th grade, (forgive my vanity please) but consider myself able to understand calculus and physics. I wanted to just have a look at a quantum mechanics textbook to see the difficulty for myself just for the sake of it, and then wanted to teach myself whatever was needed to understand it and work my way up to the higher level topics. Also sorry if I seem a bit pretentious, I really don't intend to be. Obviously I can't take calculus without skipping a grade(which I don't want to do) so I figured I would just teach myself, there also may or may not be a bit of vanity creeping in here as well, which is another thing I will profusely apologize for.
  8. Thanks for the info and the forgiveness. I'll have somewhere to start at least!
  9. Thanks, I just am very interested and will probably be obsessed for a while, so thanks for the understanding.
  10. I know there is a very large amount of material to cover to even begin understanding this, and am wondering where to start learning calculus, and what where to start learning the physics behind it. Also an apology to @Clanscorpia about my last post on the topic. That was not cool of myself. I also know someone will have doubt, so please just treat me like a person who wants to learn calculus and physics, so I can understand quantum theory and relativity.
  11. Ok, thanks! I really am sorry for letting myself start that fight, and if I wanted to start learning calculus on my own, where would I start?
  12. OK, fine, pretend I do know something about that, and just please tell me about any good books and/or textbooks are on the subject. I just happen to be very interested and I don't see a reason to discourage trying to learn something. I really don't want to fight about this. If I wanted to learn calculus, where would I start?
  13. Does it matter what grade I'm when I'm reading Benjamin Franklins biography, Einsteins biography, Plato's The Republic, and recently read both Red Dragon and Silence of the Lambs in a little under two weeks, have a pretty good understanding of reinforcement learning is, and am corresponding with a college professor about reinforcement learning? If there is something I need to learn about before quantum mechanics and relativity, please tell me though.
  14. I have recently become very interested in quantum mechanics and relativity, and was wondering what good books are on this. Also books on AI(reinforcement learning specifically) would be appreciated. Oh, and textbooks are just fine as recommendations. Thanks!
