  1. Probably. Just overclock your monitor as high as you can. If you see some lines and anything not normal appearing to your monitor, you should stop by then and stick with an OC that doesn't have those things. OC'd my cheapo HP laptop from 60 to 110Hz with no problems here. 120 and above has lines in it so I don't push it that far. Also, I don't think you would lose your warranty since you can revert it back to 60 again.
  2. Never knew that. Welp. But yeah, Sager ones are the best bet for the buck out there but asus is one of the most portable one out there
  3. http://www.xoticpc.com/asus-gl502vm-db71.html This one costs 1,399 and has a i7 6700HQ and GTX 1060. It's also very slim and has a pretty good cooling system. Ram is also 16gb which is more than enough for pretty much everything. (GTX 1060(Laptop) is like 10-15% faster than GTX 980M too)
  4. Oh dang, so the MSi one has a 28ms panel then? I thought it's 5ms since it says so on their website. Must've been false advertising then . But yeah, my max budget is as of right now is $1900, and I'm planning to buy my laptop in late November since that's where I actually get the money The P775DM3 might be too big for me though, and also power hungry. I'm quite worried that it will add $50 bucks to our monthly bills which is a big no no to my budget conscious Grandma . I've considered HIDevolution too as Pendragon recommended me before but I have no knowledge of the advanced stuff the Prema bios offers to me and I might end up messing something serious about the laptop, but I'm always open for anything that can make my laptop better. As for the 120Hz panel, I will definitely buy one to replace the current one if it's available but my concern is I might not know how to set it up in the BIOS or anything that's needed for it to run. I'll definitely ask here for help though when that happens. This is also the first time I'm dealing with OC and BIOS mods so I'm really worried about it. But I'll definitely buy the Clevo one now since it's a serious future proofing machine as of right now. This is a huge upgrade coming from a toaster than has a APU AMD chip from 2012
  5. Only $50 more so it's worth it for the added stability and OCness.
  6. Oh thanks for the suggestion! I'll try buying to those companies and see of they have those at a similar price. And for the screens, I kinda doubt they will price those laptops below $1800 so not really an option. Also are the Prema bios viable if you want to OC or just an overall increase in computer stability? ***Found one at HIDEvolution www.hidevolution.com/evoc-p670rp6-custom-built-gaming-laptop-w-nvidia-gtx-1060-w-g-sync.html Seems the same as the Xotic but a tiny bit more expensive.
  7. I'm looking for a gaming laptop below $1500. I found this http://www.xoticpc.com/sager-np8172-clevo-p670rp6.html which is $1,357.03 with OS and G-sync options selected. Anything that can run any games at Ultra at reasonable frame rates are pretty much a huge difference to what I have (Current one is https://www.amazon.com/HP-Pavilion-17-e113dx-Quad-Core-Notebook/dp/B00J6ZEHXQ)(Memory upgraded to 8gb), which I bought for $400 bucks and it can barely run anything that's released after 2011 so this laptop is pretty much my first taste of Ultra/60FPS gaming. Furthermore, I can build a very good desktop for the same price but space and portability is really needed on my situation (Always moving around the house and going to LAN parties with other friends). One last thing, I think I'll get uncomfortable switching back to 15.6" after moving to 17.3" so 17.3" is the size I prefer and I'll probably buy it mid october-Black friday. But anyways, suggestions and options are warmly appreciated!
