    Is this gonna affect my migration to Threadripper 2 in 2020? If so, I'll wait a little longer for this to get addressed...

    It is best to wait for official testing on Threadripper 2 with real world testing of applications.  I'm aware the newer chips are to get a boost in the bandwidth area of the CCXs and IFs.  How much that will help speed and latency wise is still to be seen.

     

    Personally myself, I don't use my TRs for VMing my 24/7 stuff.  I leave that to my Xeon.
