Even if it doesn't recognize the steam library on the other drive. You can set libraries in steam. Thats how I always did it with reinstall Windows. Just put my games on a secondary disk. Then when I installed steam I would just tell it where my games were, and it generally always finds them.

For the record, Reinstalling Windows does not effect data on other drives. Actually its best that you unplug all other drives in the system, when installing Windows. Windows does this STUPID thing where it puts boot files on other disks. So you make sure it has no access to other disks during reinstallation.

Still got freezes, although not that bad. At least it showed the loading cursor and the window showed (not responding).
Gonna try and do a new install on another SSD, clean the HDDs and reuse them. I also ordered a Dark Rock 3 for better cooling.
    I'll keep you updated

    Thanks for the advice.
I used my hardware in the exact same state before with no issues, so it's unlikely to be a hardware issue.

However, I restarted my router/modem and the rubber banding went away.
So I'm gonna have to see if the problem persists.

Hey, just a little update. I switched the motherboard 10 minutes ago and it booted up with no problems, I didn't even have to wait at all.
No new drivers required. Again, thanks a bunch!

I didn't change a thing. Simply turned off the laptop, switched it for the 60GB SSD in my desktop and it was fine. Windows 10 will at the very least install basic drivers if its missing the official ones (which is where you have the ones specific to the new motherboard unpacked and on a USB stick).

I've gone as far as taking the 240GB SSD from my laptop (which is based around an old A8 4555M), and installing it in my desktop (based around a 4790K) and everything was fine. And the step you would be taking going from B150 to H170 is far smaller.

if you prefer an open design and don't want to hear the crap logitech produces with what they call speakers :-)
and forget about 7.1 / 5.1 virtual surround stupidness, it doesn't work that way and you are better of with decent stereos. Don't believe the hype, withstand it :-) You got to spend way more than 60 bucks if you want to go into 5.1 headset-land.

Not too long ago, I had to pick my older brother some PC parts, because his laptop broke down. I went for a bit of gaming-orientated hardware, so I bought a MSI graphics card.
When I got mine (r7 370) he would yell at me:
"Why did mine (gtx 960) cost 30 bucks more? It's the same model you scammed me!!"

He also yelled at me for forgetting to order RAM, despite of not even knowing where it goes into the motherboard and what it does.
We still managed to get his PC together tho.

Don't mind the shipping fees when you visit the partpicker link. It probably won't be as high when all parts are placed into one cart or when you're picking them up yourself.

Since you said you aren't going to be playing any AAA titles then I would just go for the 960. It would still be worth it to try and find a 970 for about the same price (you might be able to talk him down a bit). With the Nvidia card you will also get a few Nvidia exclusive features (the only one worth while IMO is Shadowplay).

I have a Palit 1060 Dual and can confirm it is a 1060.

In all seriousness the Palit has nice sleek look and seems to have decent cooling temps, and I cant notice any coil whine. It doesn't have LEDs. I managed to get mine to a 2050 MHz Core boost and a decent Memory boost (can't remember numbers) (But I didn't max out voltage).

Are you planning on 6GB or 3GB version? And will your case fit all of the 1060 available?
Good mini version is the EVGA 1060 3GB,
other 3GB models I would recommend are
    MSI GTX 1060 Armor OCV1
    Gigabyte GXT 1060 Gaming V1

960 is the better card, unless you play GTA V you will not need more than 2GB in most games.
