My PC was crashing constantly, it started a few months ago and only had gotten worse. For the 4 years I owned the PC it was running the stock Intel cooler and recently I noticed it running really hot at over 100 degrees Celsius when it was crashing. So yesterday I went out and bought a Thermaltake Water 3.0 after market cooler. After Installing it myself the temperatures dropped from 70 at idle to 30 and only reaching 50 in games. It was running great and I was sure I fixed the problem. Sadly, this was not the case, a few hours later the computer crashed again, and this time for good. I tested the power supply (unplugged everything and then bridged the green and black wires) as well the ram (tested with one at a time) and they both work fine. My guess is that the excessive heat fried the motherboard or cpu. How can I test which one needs replacing?
