im gonna try to get the q300l soon, but i have the focus g mini right now. i will tell you tho, the focus g mini will not hold the test of time, cable management is virtually impossible, and the top of the case sags after having fans on it for 3 months. complete crap if you ask me.

I am on the PC side. However, just want point out that game console have better optimize in gaming and they are design for gaming. I think a 250 $ PC will have less gaming performance in games

Firstly, I work in GBP, and no, consoles are not normally better optimized. Games run at lower "settings" on console, and tend to be locked to 30FPS, which looks awful to anyone who is used to 60FPS.

As far as cost is concerned, as soon as you factor in the cost of games, PC blows the consoles out of the water.

Also, you can't directly compare the hardware to the PC counterparts because the PS4 uses GDDR5 memory, the xbox one has it's own little hardware tricks and the console versions of games are usually better optimized for that specific hardware. It also depends on the resolution and graphics settings you're playing at on PC.

Honestly, this "war" has been beat to death far too many times. Just play on what ever platform you prefer and enjoy the most. There need not be any judgement.

This. So many people forget about the cost of games with the console vs PC arguments. The savings on PC is HUGE. 25-50% off on triple-A games usually within 1-2 months of release date. The last few big games I bought were 25% off on launch day.

A game console is like a DVD/Blu-ray player. Sure your PC can play movies. But do you want all your family or friends comes in your room where your PC is, and look at that little screen? Or you want to use your big screen, all sit comfortably on the sofa?
YES, you could build a PC and plug it to your TV just to play movies as well. It is up to you.. but a dedicated box will allow you to have a simple experience, insert your movie, and it plays. No mouse or keyboard needed, No special software for a media center like experience, hoping it can do a good job (which you know it doesn't do one really), and well, you need to buy the parts and build it, and you end up with this big box, while a DVD player is tiny.

    Same for game consoles.

In addition, you have many exclusive title on console as well. Sure you have some on PC, and on other consoles as well. That is up to you to know which one your care and not and make your purchase decision on that. AND you CAN BUY 2 or MORE consoles, and you CAN buy a PC and a console. The whole "PC master race", "<insert console name> for life" is retarded. There is no side to take.

The whole 30 vs 60 fps is silly. Sure, more is better. But frame rate stability is more important. Movies are 24fps, everyone is fine with it because it goes contentiously at 24fps, you don't get blinded or have a headache or what not. It's fine. Same for games. Nothing changes. Sure it is easy to point to some console game that is having trouble with 30fps, but you can with PC as well, and it is harder to adjust game setting to be 60fps solid on a PC. I mean you could go with the easy path and get super powerful hardware and call it day (but that cost a lot more), or you can spend several hours adjusting settings to maximize visuals (with the fact that you are adjusting your game settings as you play, if the game doesn't have a benchmark or something to test the different scenes), or you predict things, by giving more headroom, but now you can reduce too much the visuals.

Console and PC both have their ups and downs.

Personally, I have both, I enjoy both a lot.
