  1. You are right! Here the link to the video Imagine Being Happy to Overpay… - Sony A90J My apologies. I'll edit the post with the correct info
  2. UPDATE: This is a legit giveaway from LTT video Imagine Being Happy to Overpay… - Sony A90J Hi I was browsing iPad accessories on the ESR Gear website and noticed a banner advertising a iPhone 12 giveaway collaboration with Linus Tech Tips. I've attached a banner images and screenshot of pages. Anyway clicking on the link goes to the competition page with more Linus Tech Tips imagery and then to a Gleam competition widget with no references to Linus Tech Tips. This does NOT look legit and just wanted to post it here to let the team know. Here are the list of urls to the pages using Linus Tech Tips brand: https://www.esrgear.com https://www.esrgear.com/collection/halolock-magsafe/?esr-from=home-top-pc https://gleam.io/EdRJA/iphone-12-esr-halolock-giveaway Hopefully the team can do something about this as this was really misleading. I was unsure where to post this so put it in Off Topic.
  3. What were the specs/parts used for both PCs? I wish they would highlight that more in the shows.
  4. I found this but unsure as I've never heard of this bearing type before. UFB bearing (Updraft Floating Balance bearing) Composed by MOSS and SSC systems, Phanteks’ UFB bearings have an effective hub-tip ratio to achieve a state of equilibrium reducing air and vibration noise. SSC provides an increase in the bearing’s lifespan and ensures that the fan’s axis is consistently operational and quiet. Taken from http://www.phanteksusa.com/products/phanteks-ph-f140sp I've seen on the silentpcreview forum that UFB bearing is a rifle bearing. Is that better? 5. I've played a lot of Ghost Recon: Wildlands in single player and wouldn't recommend it as a purchase. I got it included in the GTX Bundle so don't feel soured as I got it included with my 1070. If you have friends it would be better in Co-op but the game has way too many flaws. If you're looking for something similar to play in single player I would recommend Far Cry 4.
  6. Hi I need to add two extra case fans for my Fractal Define R4. I have a choice between the NZXT RF-FN142 or the Phantek PH-F140SP - They will be used as Bottom intake fan and top exhaust fan. I can get a really good deal on these fans. I wanted to know which would be better in terms of noise. I'll be running them using Speedfan. I'm looking for something with low noise and good airflow. Which would be better for me? NZXT Fan: Phantek Fan:
  7. Can I connect a Noctua NF-F12 PWM to it and control the speed? I would be using SpeedFan to control it.
  8. Hi I need some help identifying this fan header and whether is supports PWM fans. It's the CHA_FAN1 highlighted in red in the picture. The 4th pin doesn't say PWM like the CPU_FAN its says +5V. Any help would be great!
  9. Hi All, What do people think of Ghost Recon Wildlands? I missed out on the beta and wanted your thoughts. I still haven't decided between For Honor or Wildlands
  10. Yeah For Honor looks interesting to me with the different fighting styles. Wildlands seems like another Tom Clancy tactical shooter and there's already been Rainbow Six Siege. On a negative point for For Honor is the spelling - it should be For Honour. I'm British and it jars me to type it out that way
  11. Thanks, not really worried about RGB it's going in a Fractal R4 without a window. A backplate would of been nice (again not going to see it in my case) but a it's by far the cheapest GTX1070 in the UK and it's still a 1070 which is great for my 1440p display.
  12. I'm waiting on an order for a GTX1070 card and wanted to know what others have chosen in the free game bundle. I haven't tried either and seeing as there's a large multiplayer element to both games, I ask what one do you think is worth choosing out of the choice of For Honor or Ghost Recon: Wildlands?
  13. Do you have a source? Edit: I found some pics of the back of the PCB but not sure what to look for.
  14. Hi, I'm looking for more information about the Asus GTX1070 Dual OC edition. I've looked at the Asus website and for reviews online but wanted to know how many power phases and what type of heat sink is used. There aren't any pictures of the PCB or the heatsink that I could find. Any help would be great.
  15. Hi I'm looking to purchase the Asus Dual 1070 OC. How is the noise level with the card? There's very little about this card online (in terms of power phase etc). Also there's a BIOS update to enable 0db fans, which is why I'm interested in getting this card to replace my AMD 7870XT need something better for my 1440p display. Any help would be great.
