This is my first time having an Asrock board, and I can't say there's anything wrong with it.
The front USB 3.0 header was in an awkward place but I blame that more on the case maker.
I've got nothing particularly bad about it I found.
But I completely understand your hesitance if you've had bad experiences in the past. I'm the same way with Toshiba HDD's

I just use Frostwire really. Gets the job done fast enough, lets me use any torrent I find even though Frostwire's search function is an absolute joke.

No point in removing the fps cap if the screen is only 60hz which I would imagine it is.

Yes. Use it until it dies, or see how much you can sell it for. If you can exchange it for a 480 then that's fine too.

Waste.
Sell it and buy something better.

I'm still haunted by the infamous "Windows 7 white pixel in the corner of the Desktop" bug that nobody has a fix for.

Just a RX 480 upgrade will do you just fine.
