Gravemind reacted to mariushm in Quick Question about GPU power cables
That power supply has a single 83A rail for 12v.

The miniFit Jr connectors are rated for a minimum of 9A per pin, so a cable (regardless of how many connectors are at the other end) could in theory transfer a minimum of 3 pairs x 9A per pair x 12v = 324 watts. The minimum is for cheapest pins made out of folded metal, on higher end power supplies they use pins rated for higher current (around 13A).
The higher end power supplies also use thicker wires, for example AWG16 instead of AWG18.

On most power supplies, the connector on the power supply end has 4 12v wires and 4 ground wires so that you can reuse the connector with CPU cables (EPS) which also has 4 12v wires and 4 ground wires. Some cables take advantage of these 4 12v pins available on the power supply to make the cable a bit different :  the first pci-e 8 pin will be connected to pins 1 , 2 and 3  and the second connector will use pins 1, 2 and 4
This way you have 4 x 9A x 12v = ~430w minimum available on the power supply connector, going to 2  150w max plugs at the end of the cable
I don't know if evga does it like this ... they do separate the cpu connectors from the vga connectors, so maybe the vga connectors have only 3 12v pins and 5 ground pins, maybe they preferred having nice looking cables instead of more complex cables)

Regardless, the video card may pull 350 watts, but around 50-60 watts of that is taken through the pci-e slot and only around 300 watts is taken from the extra pci-e connectors.
So while the connector going into the power supply will be kinda abused, sitting close to 90%-ish of its maximum capacity, it should be fine and you wouldn't have any problems.

But, as I said, it's better to use two separate cables, so that the power pulled by the video card will be spread across two connectors on the power supply, and each connector will be "happier", working at maybe less than 50% of its maximum rating.

Put a new build together, and just wanna run it by people to make sure I didn't do something stupid like buy incompatible ram, the PSU is enough, etc.. No judging please, just a sanity check it's all compatible.

Case, fans, drives, and other small things are being carried forward from my current build and will work. Already made sure the sizes are fine, cable lengths are fine, etc..
PSU is a bit overkill but I like the extra wiggle room wattage-wise, and gonna be upgrading things as time goes on. Will also upgrade the CPU cooler in time before anyone scoffs at the stock cooler.

Looking for a TV to get by Christmas that meets these criteria without breaking the bank. Bigger is better but at least 32'' should be fine. I've done digging on Amazon, Newegg, etc., but it's not the easiest thing. Most features I want/don't want are impossible to determine via descriptions or reviews.

    1. 1080p @  60hz only
    2. Can play videos (mp4/mkv/whatever) from a USB stick
    3. Digital antenna spot
    4. Netflix integration
    5. Does normal broadcast television and play off USB without internet (I've seen TV's lockdown if your internet is down. For real.)
    6. Must NOT have fancy-schmancy features without a 100% on/off toggle. (EX: Adaptive brightness, smoothing, audio leveling.)
    7. Related to #6^, a TV that just plays things the same as their source. Doesn't fuck with the picture, doesn't ruin the audio. Just outputs the source video and audio without any mucking with it.
    8. Can output audio to a soundbar via wires.

Amazon or Newegg links are preferred but not required.
    Preferably $300 or less
    Ships to the US

    ...yes?
I wouldn't be asking I didn't need to convert something.
tl;dr a tv show my mother wants to watch but they're all in MKV, the Xbox 360 that is now a Netflix/DVD machine can't do MKV's so MP4's it is.

Guess it's time to needlessly blow money on a new CPU and motherboard.

As long as you pay the extra couple of bucks for Kinguin Buyer Protection, you got nothing to worry about.
Even if it doesn't work a year from now, they'll refund you everything.

G2A is also an option, and more or less exactly the same as Kinguin.
