  1. Your RAM is fine. Games like that tend to eat a bit more than your average AAA-whatever It wouldn't hurt to get 16gb though, especially for certain games that can really devour it.
  2. For indie-ish games like that? I'd say that's in the realm of "Normal RAM usage"
  3. Exactly. Once you start playing music or anything really, you don't even hear it anymore. Let alone if you wear headphones like most people.
  4. CD/DVD Lightscribe drive, orange SATA cable with right-angle heads, SATA power to Molex harness all for $5. Not much to gloat about, but it was nice.
  5. To some prissy princesses, yes. It can't make more noise than a farting ant or a lot of people immediately give it 1/5 stars and send it back. I say just deal with the noise.
  6. Hmm... do you live in a house with old, shitty wiring? And what's with that "CPU Over Voltage Error!"? Seems pretty important.
  7. I've seen that driver for my RX-480 for about a week now. Guess I was smart not getting it, then. I'd try rolling back to an older driver if possible, or try the forums and see what others are saying. What's your GPU?
  8. Yeah I'll just swap 4 accounts over to another mail service. Not like that'll take forever and a day to get every account's inbox forwarded over. I shouldn't have to do anything besides increase multi-layer authentication and change passwords. Yahoo needs to step up their shit. This is ridiculous.
  9. Clearance* You'll be just fine. Ram is typically one of the more durable parts of a computer.
  10. I have 4 Yahoo mail accounts. All of them were hacked, and I receive about 12 "Sign-in Attempts" emails on each account a day. Even after changing their passwords 3 times in the last month. Get your shit together, Yahoo!
  11. For the love of god please stop messing with your text color.
  12. If you put it on your lap, then it gets next to no air, obviously. On top of having drastically diminished airflow, laptops will suck up small fibers and hairs and whatnot that stick to clothes, blankets, etc. That's why they belong on a desk or some sort of flat platform.
  13. It's where I got my Windows 7 Pro key for this machine and a lot of games for half or less price. No problems at all so far. As long as you pay the extra couple of bucks for Kinguin Buyer Protection, you got nothing to worry about. Even if it doesn't work a year from now, they'll refund you everything. G2A is also an option, and more or less exactly the same as Kinguin.
  14. Doesn't help. That just gets rid of temporary files, old update files and thumbnails. Never totaling more than 1gb.
  15. Unless you do stupid crazy builds with like 100+ cpu cores, massive RAID arrays or weird networking bullshit... you don't need Ultimate. I looked into it when I built my current rig and it's just pointless for your average joe.
  16. My Windows folder is rather large at 50gb(!), even when I clear my Temp folder every couple weeks. I'm wondering if it's safe to delete any or all of the files in the Logs<CBS folder which is 20gb. Or anything in the winsxs folder which is 15gb. Just wanna clear up space on my 240gb ssd without doing a reformat.
  17. I've got an Asus RX-480 8gb, and it runs so smooth like a buttered dream. It takes anything at 1080 you can throw at it as long as your CPU can keep up.
  18. I honest to god had the exact same problem sometimes, and I too, have an RX-480. I had the problem for about a month and it happened randomly, but updating drivers on everything made it go away eventually. It seemed to happen when swapping windows too fast, sometimes even games would make it freak out. I had the same exact thing and sought help, but just waiting it out was the only solution. Even a fresh OS made it do it. #HauntedHardware? Hopefully it fixes itself for you, too.
  19. But I don't have a lot of money. The Fiio looks just fine to me for an amp/dac under $50. I don't need a big fancy thing, just want life back in my headphones.
  20. When you play anything, or certain games? It's not your mouse.
  21. 2 questions about the amp, 1. I'm assuming it will work with Windows 7 64 bit? I don't want any driver shenanigans. 2. Will a regular micro-usb cord that handles power and data work? Or do I need some special kind made out of eagle feathers and angel tears?
  22. Then I'll tell customer support I bought my Windows 7 online for like $10 and they'll send a squad car to my house. Seriously... They don't care as long as it shows up as legit when you verify your OS for the first time.
