  1. Ohhh true didn't realise, kinda just assumed support given all the stuff about compatibilities for 5 years. Thanks!
  2. So I set my CPU ratio to 38 in my new msi x570 tomahawk motherboard. Everything seems fine abd it shows up in task manager's base speed. But in game, it never boosts to that speed. Then I went to ryzen master, changed the peak speed tp 3800 as well (it's originally 3100MHz at the 'current' profile). Reboot. When I open ryzen master it shows the correct new peak speed of 3800MHz. I open up a game (doesn't matter what game: league, assassin's creed, CoD). The core speed immediately drops from 3800MHz to ~3100MHz (as shown in CPU-Z). Andin microsoft flight sim the cpu never goes above 3.1 GHz (as shown in second figure). I don't know why this is happening, please help!! Thank you! P.S. NOT A TEMPERATURE ISSUE, I have a noctua fan that's keeping it way below 50C and I literally just booted up the PC. I have a R7 1700 with a x570 msi tomahawk btw.
  3. CPU: Ryzen 7 1700 (OC to 3.9 GHz) GPU: MSI GTX 1080 Ti Duke OC Ram: Corsair Vengeance DDR4 3000 Motherboard: Asus z370 Prime CPU fan: Noctua NHD 15 PSU: Corsair CS650M 80+ Storage: SanDisk Ultra II 480+240, Seagate 1TB SSHD, Intel SSD6 Case: BeQuiet 600 with 3 fans Do you need anything else more than that? Thank you! @DocSwag
  4. @KingLuvely Perhaps? I'll try and turn down the GPU overclock a bit. However, I've used the overclocked profile and the high power option for those components for a while and they didn't seem to have a problem... @KeenanBT I just updated my BIOS yesterday (the problem occurred before I updated my BIOS so it's not because of it.) Appreciate the help guys~
  5. So sorta randomly, without recently changing any hardware or settings, my PC started having this problem where the PC would be running, then randomly the graphics would crash. I know this isn't exactly just a graphics card issue because the keyboard and mouse RGB would also stop working when this happens. However, the PC power button is still lit at this point, but if I try to shut the PC down or press the rest button, nothing would happen (not even force shut down by pressing it for a while). The only way I am able to gain back my graphics is to turn off the PSU for a few seconds, then turn the PC back on. This is very frustrating as this happens very randomly and could destroy any unsaved work that I have... I dont think this is a temperature issue with my CPU or GPU as I felt them when this crashed and the temps were fine. Please help me...
  6. For some reason my new 1080ti is not using any of its memory in games? This is causing massive lag in game and I can't play anything other than really simple games without having lag. Does anyone know what causes this and how to fix it please? Thank you!
  7. I know, but the thing is I'm not looking for a direct price comparison, I'm kinda comparing 2 different tier products I know haha But I'm just wondering what people think with all the vega benchmarks coming out. I'm mostly gaming with it, so with the crazy consumptions and the not SUPER impressive power/price, Im thinking a 1080ti. Except my main concern is the monitor tearing issue..
  8. CPU: Ryzen 7 1700

  9. So.... if I have a 3440x1440 100Hz feesync monitor, should I go for the vega64 or 1080ti..? Will i suffer a lot of tearing if I get the ti? Due to all the power consumption stuff and the noticeably lower performance, it's making the vega 64 a pretty hard sell...
  10. So with the emerging wave of ryzen optimised ram, I was just wondering what If i just use my intel ram with a ryzen chip? Does it simply limit my ram speeds? If not, how is it different with 'optimisation'?
  11. Ahh I see so at 3440x1440 resolution the cpu is running under 90%? Then in that care I think I'll get a gpu upgrade, since at higher resolution I'll most likely get a gpu bottleneck rather than a cpu bottleneck.
  12. @Princess Cadence @maartendc The thing is Im thinking either getting the Ryzen 5 1600x or the vega high end gpu. So I think my main question is: if I run games at 3440*1440 (more gpu intensive), would I get a good enough bump in fps if i get a new gpu? Or would I still get a cpu bottleneck and limiting my fps to below 70 or something. @mapeglOh That would be super helpful thank you! I already made sure I closed everything else.
  13. So I want higher performance in games pretty much. I have a 3440 1440p monitor and obviously my RX480 can't load that many pixels (I play like BF1, Witcher, GTA5 and etc). However I might also do a bit of coding in the coming few years. And I was wondering what should I get upgrade first if my main focus is on gaming I guess. Would getting a new gpu give me way higher fps if my cpu seems to bottleneck sometimes? (My cpu goes up to 100% when I'm playing bf1 for some reason..)

  15. So uh... any titan owners out there that are not feeling so great? ;P
