7.1 is a huge gimmick to sell "gaming" headsets to the market..
 
However, if you're able to get SHP9500 + Vmoda boompro, that will be the best gaming headset in the price bracket imo. But it's an open back headphone, so mind the leakage both in and out of the headphone..

In NZ we only get a non-bloody model. What is the difference between the bloody and the non-bloody SKU?
 
haha i thought you were swearing because youre in australia  thats the actual name.

redragon makes the most durable mouse i have ever seen mine is half burnt no cover on the back and the leds are broken off and its still going strong 

Optane is really useless outside of various specific tasks. 

ok... 240gb is bigger than 32 gb so more storage. 

Disable optane, install Windows then re-enable it?
 
BTW I'm not sure that would work, just an idea.

I'm guessing that the OS install is on a SATA hard drive.
 
If that is so check which SATA port the hard drive is connected to, and if it's connected to the first SATA port then disconnect it from that port and plug it into another as it's likely that the optane module has disabled that port (since it uses the SATA bus and SATA m.2 SSDs plugged into either m.2 port will disable one specific SATA port on the motherboard).

Just sell the 970 and get the 1070. Otherwise your prob going to be in for a world of hurt trying to get that config to work with little profit for your effort.

ZERO need or reason to run 2 cards at all. You prob could.

If you cant get it or borrow a license from some one then use OBS. In my experience shadow play is horrid It made me drop an entire series because it ruined 2 and a half hours of footage that no matter what i did couldnt fix.

So if your stuck with that processer for now then ya i guess get the 1070 and sell the 970. Might as well.
 

I would not buy 2 different cards, they will not work if that is what you are trying to do. A 970 and a 1070 cannot sli together 

On multi-gpu enabled games on DX12 they would.
 
But as it stands it's good for exactly 1 game and I seriously doubt any other game will support it (other than maybe an Ashes sequel).
 
So to do SLI or crossfire you need two of the same card (veeeery few exceptions like 290x and 390x sometimes being allowed by AMD). Honestly I think selling your current GPU (I am assuming you have a 970 since you put it on both set ups) and getting a single 1080 would be the best bet today.
 
If budget won't allow that or you want to hold on to your 970 then the 1070 or a Fury X if you can find it on a good deal since they can be 50 to 100 cheaper than a 1070 for 80 to 100% of the performance of the 1070.

Unless you are doing a duel PC stream set up stick with one video card which should be the 1070. Next i would use what you save on the card on a Better processer as Streaming uses a huge amount of CPU.

instead of plugging power button reset hdd and power on led try to short them with something metal  but most likely no use anyway

you have a good motherboard right there just get yourself a nice quad-core processor to drop in it and it will destroy the amd FX piece of shit in everything you can think of...

btw it does depend on whether you have OEM, retail, or the free upgrade offer from older windows. I believe the free upgrade is treated like OEM and tied to the motherboard

Yes you should do a clean install if you want your OS to work correctly, all the drivers are different when you change motherboards.
