  1. Hey. I have recently set up a sim rig with a triple monitor setup for my gaming PC. Whenever i want to play other games that is not sim games i will use the 4K tv i have in my living room, instead of moving the gaming PC around a lot between the living room and the gaming room. My gaming PC runs an RTX 4080 that has 3x DP and 2x HDMI. The triple monitors run on the display ports and the TV will run on one of the HDMI ports. I have not yet set up for the TV. I will need to run a long HDMI cable to the TV so i am thinking fiber optic HDMI cable between 5-10m, unless there are some other ways. 4K tv has 120hz, HDMI 2.1, eARC, VRR, HDR10. At some point, i will also upgrade to have a 4th monitor on the sim rig for an overhead monitor above the center one, so how i can solve this? Also what is the best way, run the triple monitors using Nvidia surround or is it something else that is better than it? The overhead monitor won't be running using Nvidia surround. The HDMI cable between the TV and the PC will be disconnected when i am using the sim rig. Any advice to run a setup like this?
  2. Oof, that's bad, but atleast it lasts longer than the cable adapter officially from Nvidia. On my 4080, i went for the Corsair adapter cable. Had it for 8 months now and no issues.
  3. The case front fans are connected to one header and the AIO fans are connected to one header but i noticed the AIO has a 4-way RGB splitter so i could connect the case front fans on the 4th connector and that way the fans will be synced up to the motherboard so the RGB cables are connected on one RGB header on the motherboard. The RGB strips on the case itself use a SATA connection and need power from the PSU and connected on it's own RGB header
  4. After some time with my current rig, i decided to build a new PC that is going to be set for both gaming and streaming in 4K. Last year was for the first time i bought a TV and i went for a TV specifically for gaming, watching content and livestreaming in 4K. I got the LG B1 OLED 65" Gaming TV (2021) I decided not to go for the new X3D CPU as they were too expensive here and i wanted to spend more on a high-end GPU to handle 4K very well I also have a super ultrawide monitor, Asus XG49V that i am playing mostly simulator games on. I might get a 1440p ultrawide monitor at some point but not now The old rig: Case: Corsair Obsidian 750D PSU: Corsair RM850x Mobo: Asus ROG Strix B450-F Gaming CPU: Ryzen 7 2700X + AMD Prism cooler RAM: Corsair Vengeance RGB Pro 2x8GB DDR4 3200MHz GPU: XFX Merc 319 Black 6700 XT Storage: WD Blue SN570 m.2 PCIe 3.0 1TB + Samsung 860 EVO 1TB + Samsung 870 QVO 4TB The new rig: Case: Phanteks Eclipse G500A DRGB Mid Tower PSU: Corsair RM1000x Mobo: Asus ROG Strix B650E-E Gaming Wifi CPU: Ryzen 9 7900 (non-X) AIO: Asus ROG Strix LC II ARGB 360 RAM: Kingston Fury Beast RGB 2x16GB DDR5 5600MHz GPU: Asus TUF Gaming RTX 4080 + Corsair 600W 12-pin GPU power cable Storage: Kingston Fury Renegade 1TB+2TB PCIe 4.0
  5. Yeah i actually meant response time is 1ms, but thanks for the reply.
  6. Refresh rate of that monitor is 1ms. The model is Asus VP278H.
  7. I have thought about making a multi monitor setup. For now i have an Asus Rog Swift PG278Q 27" connected to my GTX 1080. I am gonna get myself another 27" monitor but it's 1920x1080. I am not gonna use it for gaming, but for multimedia and showing tabs on it while gaming on the other one and having livestream software open on it aswell. Is the only thing just connect the new one on the graphics card? The new one however has only HDMI and VGA connection but the rog swift is only DP connection, and nothing more than that. If i decide to use it for gaming, is there something more i should know?
  8. I started on 1080p gaming, and then i went over to 1440p. Big difference. If you have the money for it, go for it. My opinion, don't waste more money on 4K, well, it's not very noticeable, and not many games are meant for it. If you would go to VR stuff, then i would of course recommend 4K, since i think VR is more designed in that direction, if i hope i am right on that subject.
  9. I will try to return it back. It started to happen a few moments back that the "pop" sound started everytime i flicked the button on the PSU. It was on Saturday it was at the worst and died. Usually PSU has 2-3 year warranty so i am way within that.
  10. I was thinking about something, i always used to switch the button on the PSU to off everytime i took the PC on shutdown, like when i was not gonna use it for awhile or overnight. Could this be the cause that it failed? I mean if maybe i should keep the PSU on at all times.
  11. I have replaced to my CX750M, and the system is running fine. No pop sound or anything. In fact, i have heard that pop sound for a while on my RM850i power supply. It was not so loud as it was now. When i turned on the other PSU, no sound at all when switching the power button The whole system is running normal now, so hopefully it was just the PSU that failed. Now that's a relief. I took some pictures of the damaged PSU, does anything inside look suspicious? What is that gum-like white thing inside?
  12. Hey. I have gotten in some trouble. I was gonna start up my computer. The PSU was off at the back, i switched it on, it made a pop and the circuit in my home wen't off so i changed new fuses in my home. When i got the power back, i was gonna start the computer back on, then it won't even start. There's not even any lights on the computer. Nowhere on the computer. No burning smell from the PSU or any visual damages on the MOBO or anywhere else after it happened. It looks like the PSU is dead now. I have quite a modern PSU model, it thought it was overcurrent protection on those. I have a Corsair RM850i PSU. I would need some expert advice here. Also, i have a Corsair 750W lying around, can i use that in the meantime in case i have to send my RM850i for inspection? The RM850i is almost 1 year old.
  13. I am on the 4th Intel CPU generation. I am not interested yet to go further. I will continue to stay on my i7-4790K. I have thought about buying a 6th generation CPU, but i won't. Don't see it necessary.
  14. Insane! People have this crazy ideas. I love it! Imagine going at the office with this.
