Honestly that board isn't really all that great and I imagine that it's going to limit your cpu from boosting because either it can't deliver enough power or the VRM is to hot to be able to give it enough power.

Personally I wouldn't spend 100 bucks on a incremental upgrade like that. I mean the difference in performance wouldn't be larger especially because I would assume they do not own a z series motherboard and can't overclock. Better off saving up for a platform change. As for ops questions I would imagine that in certain games it will bottleneck but it would still be worth it imo for 1440p gaming and much better than the 2060.

I would get the 3090 ti personally. As for mining I wouldn't worry about it being used for mining unless they were not treating their card right. Usually to increase profits someone mining would have to undervolt and try and run the card efficiently as possible that way the cost of electricity is lower. So yeah if a miner does it correctly it shouldn't be hard on the gpu.

You can but honestly I have done that and it can be buggy. Usually a clean install is usually cleaner and causes less problems in my experience.

Do keep in mind that you should be using high settings instead of ultra to lower vram usage if you aren't already. Ultra settings tank performance with little noticeable difference in visual quality. For me I can't tell the difference in 99% of games. Also youtube videos will hit your cpu as well so it might not even be the video card that is lowering performance but your cpu having to share resources between then game and youtube.

Not from what I have heard. My local microcenter is still getting a larger than normal amount of returns due to instability issues on the RX 7900xtx to the point that when they see a gpu being returned they can almost assume it probably an RX 7900xtx. Now I won't say that everyone will experience stability issues but I would rather not buy a product that I don't know if it will function correctly when I get it.

Did you use them with ryzen 1000 or 2000 series? Because if you did and didn't have issues running at rated speeds then you are incredibly lucky. Ryzen 3000 and after had much better memory controllers and had very little memory issues. Granted ryzen 7000 series does have memory issues when running more than 2 sticks or ram but so does all DDR5 systems. As someone who had some corsair lpx ram and a ryzen R7 1700 I can safely say they did not like each other. Generally gskill ram had much better compatibility with ryzen. Still sorta sad that it wasn't known that ryzen cpus didn't play well with corsair ram when I bought my R7 1700. Granted people didn't know anything at the time and it was fun and annoying being an early adopter and figuring things out as knew information came out and comparing experience with others who also got the same cpu.

Ah yes because historically people who are buying a BMW want to be able to save money on a car by locking a piece of hardware behind a subscription rather than a one time payment. You realize that the subscription model only works if the people who pay for the heated seats cover the cost increase of all cars including heated seats? Also keep in mind that heated seats probably aren't all that much in terms of cost compared to the whole vehicle and honestly heated seats should be standard anyways on a luxury car like a BMW.

Am3 was before ryzen came out so that a big reason why there wasn't an issue. It's early versions of ryzen that ended up having compatibility issues which came out in 2017.

I was mostly explaining why we have planned obsolescence. Yes durable good didn't cause the great depression but they certainly did add fuel to the fire especially because alot of people depended on those jobs at factories that made durable good to pay for things. Also keep in mind that it wasn't the average person using credit to buy things that really screwed up the economy especially because you can still pay for things if you still have a job the big problem is when you lose said job and still have that debt. The main reason for the great depression was actually people buying stocks on largely credit which is such a stupid idea that I can't believe this was a widespread practice that nobody thought would have horrible effects when the stock market goes down.

That is more understandable but as someone who has an 8700k in my old build I would say it's definitely showing its age and the main reason why I upgraded my system. That and I live near a microcenter and they had a crazy deal on a cpu motherboard and ram bundle that was very hard to pass up.

Just be aware that most reporting software will show you half of what is advertised because ddr means double data rate so you have to take the clock and multiply it by 2.

Usually I wouldn't put deals from microcenter on hot deals but honestly this deal is so good that I feel like it would be sad if people who live near a microcenter missed it. Here is a link to the deal https://www.microcenter.com/category/4294834666/computer-parts-combos
There are also other combo deals as well but personally I think the one I am referring to is the best. Also keep in mind you get Starfield as well with AMDs current promo. So for 550 you get a 250 to 300 dollars motherboard plus 64gb of 6000mhz ddr5 ram and a r9 7900x not to mention you also get starfield as well. Honestly not sure how they even make money on this combo but I certainly won't complain.

Yeah it's a bit unlucky and lucky at the same time. When you bought your cpu we didn't really see any improvements in cpu performance other than more cores for years at point and now cpu performance has made huge leaps in the last couple of generations and has really made older cpus look alot worse in comparison. On the bright side is that there are plenty of very meaningful cpu upgrades for you to choose from that are way faster than your current cpu. Also games have really gone along way in using all the extra cores some of these cpus have making lesser core and thread count cpus struggle in some newer titles.

Brooksie359 got a reaction from bmx6454 in BMW Drops Its Controversial “Heated Seat Subscription”
The problem is that they could easily save money by having all of the cars come with the heated seat standard and you don't have to have any of this complicated system. I would be willing to bet it would cheaper to have the heated seats standard than to have a convoluted subscription or on time fee model for heated seats especially because the cost they are asking is 350 which is minimal vs the cost of the car and that is what they are asking for not the actual cost. Honestly if you think this model is better then you don't realize the overhead of such a system would undoubtedly cost the customer more money than if they just always included heated seats. I mean it's a BMW why in the world do people need options when they can just always have heated seats like you would expect in a luxury vehicle.

I mean you are paying for access to the network when you pay monthly to your phone company. Upkeep of cellphone towers and other infrastructure isn't cheap. Also keep in mind that there was a time in history where things were built to last a super long time and this was a huge contributing factor to the great depression. Turns out that if you sell something and people only need to buy your product once in their life then you are going to run into huge issues when most people already own your product.

I mean the 9700k was always lacking when it came to multicore performance. Honestly the r9 7900x has 12 cores and is good at gaming so not a bad choice if you want to upgrade your cpu. There is also the i7 13700k which has 8 performance cores plus 8 e cores which does decent in multicore and has excellent gaming performance.

I mean that isn't even a YouTube exclusive thing. That would help out basically their advertising business as a whole. The amount of money they could get if they were able to make that work is probably more than worth the backlash if they could make it work. The problem is it's not realistic.
