I'm with you with that one. If it is really value oriented, you should not go for the newest APU. The 5800K is more then enough for having a basic PC, that is able to play some games. And if you want to Add an extra GPU, then just go straight away for the 760K. Because, TBH, with Kaveri around the corner it just doesn't make any sense in buying the expensive ones. I've build a 760K System with a very good Motherboard (that Asrock one Linus showed is crap - i had 4 RMA's in about 6 Weeks) and a R7 270X. With that System you are able to Play BF4 even in a 64 MP map with more then 45 FPS and if you turn everything to max, you still get 30 FPS in Single-Player. Crysis 3 runs with about 45-50 FPS. GPU is completely maxed out, while the 760K @ 4,6 GHz has about 75-85 % Load. Also the A55 Chipset and that kind of APU is like having a F1 Car with a 15 HP Engine. What? Because AMD want's to sell the expensive APUs more, and does not want to Sell the Athlons?^^ There is. But the Standard APU-Coolers are crap. They don't even have a copper core. And the thermal pad (it's not really a paste) isn't that high quality like it was with the FX-50 CPU's a few years back.

I find it very disturbing how many people don't care about their privacy... But the biggest problem is: All this collecting and the evaluation of the Data is automated. Now we all know that algorythms have no moral, they don't have any emotions, they are far from perfect for this kind of work, because they don't differ. If you by any chance wrote something, said something or anything else, what falls into that "grid pattern" - you are beeing watched for sure. We in Germany had quite a lot of cases, where people encrypted their personal mails and have been classified as "monitored", wich meant, they where also beeing watched physically. The real problem is that you can't control it anymore. When i post something on Facebook, I control WHAT i post. If i don't want to have that data spread all over the internet, i don't use Facebook. And there are things i have to hide, my privacy and my opinion in some cases for example. If i hate my neighbor and don't want him to know that, because i don't want any kind of conflict with him...i don't tell him that, although i may telling it a very good friend.Just because sometimes you need someone to talk to about those things. What if you criticize you're government or some things you're governemnt does and they don't want you to? Now with all this data they can pin you down. Then you may dissapear in a very sad accident... The sad thing about this is: Those are not some conspiracy theorys. It happens quite often and many conspiracy theorys are sadly true...a few years ago, PRISM would also have been classified as conspiracy theory by the majority...

Already preordered! And everyone who is talking about android apps not compatible with the OS...get you're facts right. Android Apps are going to work on this exactly as they would on a normal Android device, since most Android Apps are Java based. And if not, look into the Linux world: It's very simple to compile a programm on another System. Most of the time you don't even have to change the Code. Also QT Apps are going to work, exactly as they are with MeeGo. Apart from that: It's a phone for enthusiats, not for a basic and normal user, who just want's to use the phone. Hell, that thing is going to have a console interface!

Western Digital. Had 3 Seagates die on me, and also they are a lot louder then the Western Digitals. I have 3 WD Green, 1 Scorpio Blue 2,5" and i had one Black. But i sold the Black to a friend, because i got an SSD...

The Ducky Shine 2 is available with german layout, but it's rather expensive and at the moment way over my budget (155 Euro)...also it doesn't have dedicated multimedia keys...IF there is no alternative, i'm going to use something like this, but as it's with the K90, there are keyboards with The Corsair K90 i could get for 90 Euros, but it has those gaming keys on the side and i don't have that much space on the table...

I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard, but there is a problem. Nearly every mechanical Keyboard has some disadvantages for me. Especially because i need a Keyboard with QWERTZ-Layout and the mutated vowels. The Coolermaster Quickfire Pro would be near perfect for me. Only problem is: I can't stand red backlight, i want it Blue ;-) Are there "Keycaps" that can be changed or something like that? Or does somebody know a full-size keyboard with blue light, german layout and without those hiddious "gaming keys"? Multimedia Keys would also be very nice (Play, pause, FWD, RWD...)

Not sure what the Silencio 550 costs in portugal, but in germany it's 70 Euros o.O And i tell you, you don't want to start modding a Silencio 550 ;) There are a lot of other Cases wich look a lot like the 550: Zalman ZM-T2 Inter-Tech SY-111 MS-Tech LC-700 Zalman Z5 (allright, it doesn't look a lot like the 550, but it also looks very clean^^) BitFenix Outlaw (Same with the Zalman Z5) the list goes on ;) Personally i wouldn't dare to try to mod a 70 € case for the first time...

i've read a few times now about titan not being very good for sorround-gaming... and if i compare the frame time tests, it looks like the titan doesn't stand a chance

Uhm...you know that the Silencio 550 is a Silenced Case? There are a lot of other cases wich look as clean as the 550, but they are not silenced. Apart from that, i find that compared to the 650, the 550 is quite a big dissapointment. I've had the chance to Test 550 and 650 side by side, and TBH, the 550 doesn't stand a chance. The Front door is glossy plastic, wich is 1. very rare to find on a CM Case and 2. is very dissapointing that CM used it, because it doesn't feel very nice. The 650 has Radiator Mountings, it's slienced and it is one hell of a case. I absolutly love it and the aluminium front door is great. It's also very Silent (apart from the Fans they have shipped with mine - they have bad bearings and are quite loud). Only thing is, that you don't have any space for cablemanagement on the back, because of the silencing material. It's even worse on the 550, because it's smaller

2k is ATM enough :D I don't want to imagine what GPU-Power would be neccessary for 4k eyefinity...Quad-7990's :D

Hi, i picked up a very old PC and found some "stuff" around the soldering points in the PSU and i was wondering, what the hell is it?? I know that moisture and other crap can lead to this kind of..."thing", but i doubt that it's the case with this one...looks different...

Uhm, i believe he said that his one GPU is on his way out...so he clearly needs something new right now and can't wait! As for that i would go with a 7970 or a 7990. If you go with a 7970, you can add a second 7970 later. Most Games would run pretty decent on a single 7970 with 5760x1080...but problably not with 120 FPS on the highest settings. Also you get better OpenCL support on AMD cards (although IIRC Nvidia has CUDA, wich hasn't that great support in Photoshop). And if you are playing Tomb Raider, there is no question about it: Go wih AMD.

IIRC, Red's are based on Greens... Can't confirm that greens are slow, i get about 120-130 Mb/s on my 2 TB Green Drive

7970 or 7990. Drivers are getting fixed and since you now crossfire already, i would go with it agan

Hi, since Windows 8 isn't running that well on my HP TX2550eg, i installed Winodows 7 yesterday. The "problem" is, i don't seem to be able to scroll inside the Explorer, IE, nor Firefox. There is an extension for Firefox available that would allow me to use my Finger, but that isn't really what i want. Everywhere i look it says, Windows 7 should be capapble of scrolling with your finger. It crossed my mind, that maybe the Synaptics Driver for the touchpad is responsible for that beaviour...but i tried deinstalling it...didn't change anything... Any Ideas, apart from reinstalling Windows 8 again? ;)

No Problem, i believe one of the amazing mod's is going to take care of this and will be moving this post the right sub-forum ;) SirReallySam posted not a bad System, but i would change the Case, the PSU and the CPU ;) Maybe i would also go with an ASROCK Board, because they are just awesome for the price

Athlon X4 750K or AMD FX-63XX with a 7870 or 7950 :P But i believe that's the wrong Sub-Forum...
