  1. Yeah it's a very low kind of feel, definitely not prominent sounding like the greens or blues. Kind of nice however
  2. With the cherry mx blues compared to Razer Greens, I don't know about some of you but I prefer the less harsh sounding click of the razer greens, it's sort of like a lower acoustic click?
  3. Hey Ariko, thanks for the addition of the g910! Much appreciated
  4. Hi all! (Disclaimer - this is my opinion and having gone to try it myself) So today I had the privilege of going to a shopping centre that had a store which displayed the Razer Blackwidow Chroma (Razer Green), G810 (Romer-G), G910 (Romer-G) and Corsair K65 (Cherry mx red). Wanted to provide a review of them all. Razer Blackwidow Chroma: - Lighting is vibrant and bright - Macro keys are a very welcome added feature - Design of keyboard is nice - Sturdyness is solid. Switches compared to Cherry MX Bluesas it only seems right to compare the two. The Razer Green switches are a very tiny amount of more mushy than the MX Blues (I've owned Ducky Zone zero in blues) and this could be that the tactile click is a little less profound for lack of a better word but only by a little bit, it's really not bad at all! The bottoming out of the razer greens feel softer as well and maybe it can be a deal breaker to some but in my opinion, I feel that I'll be able to 'reload' faster for the next press. The authentic feel of the Razer Green's is quite similar to the MX blues, overall they feel roughly the same with the exceptions that I mentioned. All in all, before I had the opportunity to test these switches, I was one of the guys bashing Razer for their switches feel less authentic etc etc but now I think they're fine and I would be happy with either. (Greetech switches not the Kaihl ones btw) G810 - Design of keyboard is very simple and beautiful - Media keys are very welcome and solid addition to the keyboard. - Lighting is honestly my favourite of all RGB keyboards I've used because I've had the K95 RGB and currently use the Strafe RGB and to be fair, I don't like RGB colours just swirling and in a sense leaking around everywhere, I prefer the controlled look and the fact that the G810 lighting is lit in the middle per key and is kept within itself is very nice. - Sturdyness is solid. Now the Romer G switches are something somewhat new to me, they don't feel completely alien to me as I can somewhat compare them to a Red's but with a heavier bottom out. I understand a little bit when people say the switch is mushy because there is barely/ to none tactile ness and when you bottom the key out, it feels like I was bottoming out way too soon and it felt like a heavy and hard bottoming out which to my mind felt weird and so didn't allow for me to 'reload' as fast for the next press. Can be a deal breaker for some but I reckon If I took some time to get used to it, I'll enjoy them. The switch itself is a little clicky sounding definitely much more than say the browns, reds and speeds but not as clicky as the blues/ razer greens. Would I recommend the Romer-G? Sure, with the switch bottoming out much faster you get a faster actuation but it will take some time to get used to the harder and sooner bottom out once again if you took the time to get used to it, can become a really nice switch. Solid switch but there won't be a chance to get replacement custom key caps due to the awkward design of the switch. G910 (Read Ariko's review of the keyboard as well below in the comment section) - Design of keyboard is cluttering for lack of a better word, there is so much happening! The extra macro keys at the top is a good use of space but I personally don't see the need for them as there are ones on the side, however it's a pretty good design but I can think of others I prefer. - Macro keys, welcome and nice, extra ones at top imo not needed. - Wrist rest is nice and nice to have, especially with long sessions on the computer. - Phone arc doc, nice and holds my phone pretty nicely within getting in the way. - Lighting is cool, kept within itself. - Sturdyness is good too. Key caps are not actually that bad, not as pronounced as some people would initially think. Smooth but definitely by no stretch as smooth as a regular key stock key cap say by Razer or Corsair. Romer-G switch (read above on the G810 review) K65 - Simple, compact keyboard, nice. - Lighting, like any other corsair keyboard, nice. - Design, smaller version of other corsair keyboards, nice. - Overall nice keyboard but in my opinion I need the numpad. - Sturdyness is solid. Cherry MX Reds, keeping it simple, literally Cherry MX Browns without the bump. Much smoother to press and the bump on the browns now feel like a nuisance/ extra obstacle to me. Originally my favourite combination was the Blues and Browns but now it's the Blues and Reds. (CHERRY MX BLUE HYPE) In my personal opinion, I would recommend all keyboards to people BUT I would only buy the G810 and Razer Blackwidow Chroma because of my personal preference in keyboards. Cannot wait to try the MX Speed switches. Will let you know how they are when I get the chance to! Thanks for reading
  5. Can't speak much about the mouses but, I've tried the k95 (MX browns) before with it's metal body and all and now I have the Strafe RGB in MX Browns. The build quality and sturdyness on the strafe is solid, barely any flex when I try the flex test and mind you, I'm trying to flex it with a lot of strength, the same goes for the k95 of course given it's metal body but the fact that the strafe can hold it's own with a plastic outer cover is really nice. The lighting on the strafe is better than the k95 and k70 as well due to the white back plate which really makes the RGB show it's 'true colours' (hah) more. Deal breaker? Yes, if lighting is of importance to you. One thing I really disliked about the k95 and will be the same with the k70 was that sometimes I'd accidentally hinder the edge of the keyboard and it being metal, you could scratch yourself, of course if you're really careful that won't happen but with all things considered it'll happen at least once or twice. With the strafe, the plastic cover doesn't feel as sharp if you manage to snag your arm or hand against it. Deal breaker? No but, it's to be considered. Price is of course cheaper on the Strafe but for the extra dollars you get what you pay for on the k70, especially if the metal body is out of the question. The extra things you get are the media controls and scroll volume wheel. It's up to you, do you feel that you need the media keys and volume wheel? If so, then go for the k70, if not then go for the Strafe. Overall you can't go wrong with either one.
  6. So I use a fingertip grip style and when I first bought the G502, looking at the picture it looked uniform in a sense of the main body. But after using it for say... 5 months, I can't tolerate it anymore, my wrist is hurting leaning so much on the right side and I'm needing to move back to ambidextrous mouses. My all time favourite mouse is the Razer Taipan but it's not in my opinion the perfect one due to it's laser sensor drawback.
  7. Hey guys, Watched Hardwarecanucks's video on the Roccat Kova 2016 and he mentioned that the primary clicks were harder to press, anyone with experience of this mouse, can you tell of your experience with the primary clicks and the mouse itself? I'm currently using the G502 and the mouse clicks are nice and easy but to be fair, if the clicks on the Roccat KOVA aren't that hard to press, I'm not fussed at all. I remember buying the Steelseries Kana CS:GO edition and the primary clicks on them were tough as BOOTS! Any relevant responses are great. Cheers.
  8. Hi everyone! I am in the market for a high end monitor, looking at 27 inch + 4k or 21:9 ratio monitors with a triple monitor setup. I have quite a few questions in my search for my perfect to near perfect monitor. My budget is £500 - £1,000 ideally in the lower range of the spectrum. My day to day includes video editing and gaming, games include things like LoL, MMO's like Blade & Soul to things GTA 5 and Witcher etc. Although I am a gamer I do prefer colour and overall better visual experience over response time which is why I lean more towards IPS over TN. My current monitors are two 24 inch LG 24MB35PY and a Dell U2414H which both are great but I've noticed that the LG has better colour depth, vibrancy out of the box compared to the Dell U2414H and this baffles me because they claim "unbeatable colour" on their box; for this reason I've had to adjust the contrast of the Dell to match the LG which was a hassle. My friend has told me from his experience with Asus and BenQ monitors that the colour on the BenQ was better. For this reason I ask which brands have good colours depth, vibrancy, clarity and accuracy or more specifically which monitors have really good colour depth etc etc. I'm leaning more towards 4k monitors as having such a beautiful visual experience is mind blowing for me but having seen x34 predator and LG ultrawides has put questions into my mind in terms of which to choose. Has anyone had experience with the two and have similar day to day tasks as myself, which do you prefer? Also in terms of the the curved 21:9's how are they? They look really nice but I fear in the a triple monitor setup they might look weird side by side. If by some miracle that you guys could recommend a monitor of my specification with a good response time that would be great but I know it's a long shot. Also in terms of stand and other things with the monitor, I used to like pivot, swivel and tilt but I don't see the need for pivot these days and only really care about good height adjust range, tilt and swivel albeit swivel isn't a deal breaker. Next is aesthetics, I like a clean and professional/ ish looking monitor and this is important to me which you can imagine is why I bought a U2414H (because of the nice looking stand and professional look) over a similar LG monitor because I'm a potato but oh well. Having G-Sync would be great as well! Lastly, VESA mounting would be great because having three 27inch + monitors on a desk requires a lot of desk space and a gigantic desk and having to get a desk that takes up half of my room isn't ideal! Thank you for reading!
