Budget (including currency): ~$1,000 USD Country: United States Games, programs or workloads that it will be used for: Gaming on games such as Overwatch, Warzone, and other games that are less intensive. Other details: Hello, I was hoping to get some recommendations from you kind people online as to what kind of graphics card I could get in order to improve my performance in games. I am mainly looking for a better graphics card that could run fps games more smoothly on high settings on a high refresh monitor I still have yet to choose. If I can get recommendations on that as well it would be greatly appreciated(but am currently using a random 1080p 60hz monitor, and sometimes use another monitor with similar stats as a dual monitor). I have added my current PC specs below, but it doesn't include 2 additional drives that I am using(one 3 TB HD and one 1TB SSD). https://pcpartpicker.com/user/Mykola/saved/#view=hm89cf

Thank you to all who helped me in my quest to waste you time( sorry :P)

Thanks for the clarification @pbx2 (I was well aware of that xD)

Oh, found an answer to my question, probably should try and figure it out myself so I won't waste people's time http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-1733746/pin-cpu-connector-power-supply-seemingly-match-pin-connector-motherboard.html

Yea I got that for the Gpu but What about the CPU? do the squares and hexagons have to be in the specific order?
-
So squares or hexagons don't really matter(and the order they are in)?

Msi RX 470, will upgrade to 1070 after I get my PC set up nicely
-
So you can use the connector on the right(regardless of the shapes in the left one?) for both the cpu and gpu?

Hello, recently I undertook the task of building my first PC and I ran into a snag that I encountered before while upgrading a store bought PC. With the problem being that the pins did not match up to what the GPU wanted. I have attached some images, and the type of 8-pin I need is on the left(for both images one being for the MB other for GPU) but the psu came with the other 6(+2)-pin on the right. I was wondering whether or not the wires can be used interchangeably or will I have to get another wire or just a converter.

Sweet thanks allot @fpo I will keep that in mind but I will also wait for cyber Monday just in case something happens.

Sweet thanks @fpo yea i kinda felt the same way, and from what I understood from @Made In Canada better to wait for cyber Monday to see if anything goes on sale?

Hello, I would like to build a gaming PC since I am not very content with my pre-built PC I bought 2-3 years ago with a graphics card stuck into it, and I have around $1700 USD for this PC(would like if it is a little cheap but ok if it goes over slightly). I am planning to use this PC to play Overwatch (and some quick web browsing), and might stream a bit with it, also I have a https://www.amazon.com/HP-2310m-Full-Widescreen-Monitor/dp/B003I84KH0 monitor. Lastly I am upgrading because I believe I could get more performance and a smoother experience with another PC, since the PC I use right now doesn't have any room for proper wiring and makes noise as a result of that, along with it not performing as well as I hope it could while I quickly search things up.

So as far as I saw/ understand you guys are saying better to wait for Black Friday then get the parts/build a PC(that are hopefully going to be on sale) and not touch the pieces of junk that I call computers and build a new one that I can have for a long time.

Hello, I am interested in building a good gaming PC(mostly been playing OW and Civ6) and since black Friday and cyber Monday are coming up, I thought now is the best time to build/ upgrade one. Now for my budget I have around $1,700 USD and am willing to spend it all on the PC but I would to prefer to keep it as low as possible. I also have two computers both of which I have provided links to on the bottom(the lenovo is the main PC I use for gaming/quick searching which has the RX 470 in it), both of which I still use(the gateway is used for watching streams/ YouTube for a long time). Along with the two PCs I also have two monitors(again listed below). The reason I would like to upgrade/ build a PC is due to a few factors, one of which is that the case for the lenovo is a barely a fit for my GPU which as a result makes one of the motherboard wires hit one of the fans every time I do any demanding thing with it. Along with the fact that I have to set priority in task manager for the games that I play otherwise I get jumpy frames(Especially in OW) even on low settings, which restricts me from quickly searching/ responding to people in other app. Lastly I'm not sure if I was very informative or clear with what I want, so as a quick recap I would like you wonderful people to help me improve my gaming experience/ setup and use parts form other PCs if needed(I might use the spare PC as a streaming PC) and/ or give me tips on what I could do to improve my setup. I was overthinking the shape of the 6-pin
