Hey I have a shitty laptop with an 4th gen i3(1.7 Ghz...), with 4 GBs of DDR3L ram and Intel graphics. All was fine, it fit my budget and although I like to game, my laptop cannot handle most of em so I have to stick with very light gaming. So, a week ago my friends and I were playing some FPS games together and I noticed something. The character didn't stop moving forward even when I had stopped pressing the W key, but i managed to handle it and played on anyway. This went on every time I played the game, and a day or two later the character wouldn't move at all! To check if it's an in-game issue or a keyboard issue, I opened the in-game text chat and the W key wouldn't work. For temporary ease, I changed the key-bindings from WASD to ESDF, and soon enough the same thing was happening with the E key. Now, both the W and E key have the same issue: wouldn't stop typing even I have stopped pressing the key and would randomly go dead. I tried using an external keyboard to see whether it's a software issue or hardware issue, and it worked just fine. tl;dr intense gaming session, keyboard W and E causing problems, keep typing or go dead, need a fix ASAP.

So I was working on one of external drives. I took all the data i wanted. Went to disk management. I first deleted the pre-existing volumes, and deleted the partitions. Then I created a new simple volume. I gave it a format, but during the format i nudged my laptop and drive disconnected. Now on connecting it, even though I hear the alert of a device being connected, and the LED blinking on the drive's case, it isn't showing up on MY PC, but it is showing up on disk management. What do I do???

FOLLOW UP: I know I posted this a long time ago, but I had bought a couple of new external hard disks(WD elements) and my old ones weren't bothering me. So I was working on one of the drives. woah you beat me to it... thanks bro i will do a few changes here and there, but thaks a lot this will save me a lotta trouble THANKS! PS its costing 620$ over there, but here in India it will nearly touch 1000$ for the same parts!

will do soon enough!

Also guys, are the i5 6400 and 6402P any good? They are cheaper, and hopefully good enough. Should I get one of them instead?

I'm planning to save money, plus overclocking is out of the picture. If I have some dough left over, I will definitely go for a better CPU.

Right now I've got a shitty DELL Inspiron 3542, which my dad picked up. It has a single RAM slot with 4GB of DDR3L(upgrading it to 8GB), 500GB HDD(upgrading it to a TB) and a Core 13(will not touch it). After the upgrades, hopefully I can get some work done with it. For my build, I've chosen a few parts(suggestions would be nice): The processor will be a Skylake Core i5. Still haven't decided the model though. The 6600K(which I love very much is out of the picture for now). The fight persists between the 6500 and the 6600. But I am willing to look into the 6400 and the 6402P. The graphics card will be an aftermarket(if I find a cheap one) 8GB RX 480. For RAM, I'm going for 2x8GB of DDR4 RAM. This should suffice. I'm willing to go for any cheap but fast enough brand. I haven't decided on the motherboard, but I want an ATX type which supports Crossfire. This will allow me to add another RX 480 maybe a year or two down the line, when a single one can't handle the load. Also it will allow me to add more RAM sticks later on. What do you think? I want the total to be under 1200$(including the monitor and all the other peripherals).

I've been through various sites and checked out their benchmarks, and the 6600 is the winner 10/10 times. But I'm doing a budget build, so I need to keep everything in mind!

Not planning to overclock!

I'm planning to get the RX 480. With 16 GBs of DDR4 ram, which CPU do you recommend?
