Resolution options don't appear anymore
FStopDesigns replied to FStopDesigns's topic in Troubleshooting
Finally solved this an just in case anyone else has this problem and happens to stumble upon the thread here's the solution: Go into the Nvidia GeForce Experience and "optimize" your games there. It'll set the res to 3840x2160. Once you go into the game you can then change and adjust the settings as you like and it'll be fine again. -
Does anyone know how to convert MOV to MP4?
FStopDesigns replied to rf9661's topic in Photography and Videography
Usually this is terrible advice and you can seriously fuck up your files with it, so make sure you have a backup. If you know they are the same codec (H264 for example) and you're in a pinch you can try to change the part behind the dot. So let's say from "ThisIsMyFile.MOV" to "ThisIsMyFile.MP4" But like I said this should only be a last resoret if you cant install anything and if possible should be avoided as you might ruin your files. -

Disregarding my mistake with the monitor names. If my math is correct then 3840x2160 is a 16:9 aspect ratio. 3840x2400 would be 16:10. So that doesnt change a thing -

DANG! Put the wront monitor in there. Of course they are the P2415Q. They run native in 4K -
Hello, i usually game in a resolution of 3840x2160. However I've noticed that lately every game has changed the resolution to 1920x1080. In the game settings I can't select any resolution above that anymore either. However in the Nvidia ControlCenter/System settings it says my display is running at 3840x2160. Windows itself says the same thing too. What I've tried so far and hasn't solved it: -To run the games in Fullscreen, Windowed and Borderless. - Restarting hasn't helped either. - Disconnecting every other Display and TV from my GPU hasn't solved it either. - I know the cables are still good cause in Windows and every other Program it works just fine. - Switching the cables between the displays and the outputs - I've updated my drivers. (Gpu and Display drivers) Anybody have an idea what I could do to fix this? The ultimate display or "Eierlegendewollmilchsau"
FStopDesigns replied to FStopDesigns's topic in Displays
Should have added that I'm going to use a programm to split the screen and have 2 virtual displays to split things up -
Hey guys, I'm thinking about changing my display set up at home. I game on it but also use it for some projects with programs like Lightroom, DaVinci Resolve, Maya, Substance Painter/Designer, etc. (mostly 3D and Animation stuff lately) Currently I'm using two Dell U2415 (3840x2160 resolution). For gaming I only use one but when I work i use both. I've been thinking about selling them and instead getting a Ultrawide. What I want to get out of it is: - resolution greater than 1080p - screensize somewhat similar to my two dells (Around 34" should be fine) - it should be able to be calibrated or have a good color reproduction (sRGB coverage should be pretty good) - Bonus points if it supports HDR - I don't care really care about high refresh rates and I'm happy to stay at 60Hz - Budget is up to a 1000€ and I'm shopping from Germany. So far a few I've came up with are: Dell u3415w LG34UC98-W Samsung SE790 Samsung CHG90 (not exactly what i specified but still interesting enough due to HDR, haven't read any tests if it's good though, doesn't this one have a newer model with higher res?) If you have any suggestions for other displays let me hear them Or if you have one of those I'd like to hear you opinion on it. Cheers Edit: GPU in my system is a GTX 1080

Photo editing PC optimisation - help!!
FStopDesigns replied to nickmnickm's topic in Photography and Videography
1) I don't think there is much you can do to optimize your pc for that I'm afraid. It is already quite powerful and uses fast storage. Unless you have those images on an external harddrive that is connected through a slow connection. 2) Don't get a GPU for image editing. Lightroom does have an option to accelarte some processes but most of the time I have been stuck using the CPU since i get the bluescreen bug when using a GPU in LR. I don't think PS can make that much use a GPU either as far as i know. For Video editing it's a different matter altogether. Premiere can use the GPU for some things especially rendering if you use one of the supported codecs. And if you're going to get into color grading in remiere then you'll almost certainly need a good gpu. TLDR: Don't get a GPU for Photo editing, only if you plan to do some editing, rendering and color grading. -
which website you use

If you have a legit adobe cloud account you can create your own website through adobe portfolio -
Try setting them offline and then relinking them

If you want to move more but cant afford a good gimbal it might be an idea to check out some steady cams. they should land in the price range you're looking for. It takes some practice to set them up and be good with them but IMHO it's still worth it.
