It's probably the battery. I've been having some of these symptoms (but still to a lesser extent so far) on my 7 as the battery's gotten more and more degraded.

Either swap out the battery for a new one or just bear with it for a little longer until you get a new phone.

thats the thing i got my battery replaced just 3 months ago before corona started, im starting to think i paid them to put the same battery in my phone >:(

  2. My iphone 8 just randomly freezes up, overheats, and just overall stops working. It becomes completely unresponsive to the point where i cant open apps, go home, put it to sleep, or turn it off. i talked to apple multiple times and every time they say its fine, but its clearly not fine. is there anything that i could even do for it? is it even worth trying to do something should i just wait for the 12? or get the 11 pro since my phones battery life is already shit. (yes i am an apple sheep i am deep in the ecosystem, and no i do not want an android XD)

  3. When i launch games certain ones will only load into a black screen or a flashing black screen, but when i re install the drivers it seems to fix it so i find my self constantly reinstalling them. could this be a bug or a is it a problem on my end? i have a 1070 Ti.

Did you move the new instance of Windows Boot Manager to the front of the boot order or just the new drive? To boot into Windows you need to put the Windows Boot Manager entry at the front of your boot list, not the drive.

How would i tell the difference between the ssd and the hdds

  5. I cloned my boot drive an put it on an ssd but now I’m in my bios and it wont let me boot into it and i changed the boot priority too but it keeps putting me onto the hard drive. I have a msi z370 tomahawk MOBO, should I unplug the hard drive altogether then reboot???

It said that no issues were found is there anything else to try?

I just did the command powercfg /requests and it said the rainway app was stopping my pc from sleeping so i closed it in task manager and i let my computer go to sleep finally. i guess it has some way to prevent the pc from sleeping and locking, i downloaded it the same time right before windows updated. so i figured windows caused the issue but it was a third party app.

I had similar issues before. I went with the nuclear option to just re-install windows (which fixed the issue). But, a simpler solution could be to run the following command in elevated cmd:

    sfc /scannow

  8. Windows updated itself to version 2004 and ever since my computer is refusing to go to sleep. When I click the sleep button all it does is turn my monitors off where as it used to turn my computer fans and lights off. It also doesn’t lock my computer anymore when I put it to sleep and makes it so a tap on my space bar wakes it whereas before I had to hit the power button to wake it. Is there anyway to fix this??

I used EaseUS partition master, the free version. The thing is, you must have the same or more storage available onto the SSD, as it clones the windows drive and everything on it. You can't JUST switch over windows, as easy as that would be.

both drives are 1 TB. so i cant transfer it through the windows installer even though it says you can keep the files when installing windows on a new hard drive?

  10. Im upgrading to a new ssd as a boot drive and was curious on how i should go about transferring all my files and windows. should i do it through the windows installer or should i use a third party software to transfer everything from my hard drive to my ssd? also would it be possible to upgrade to windows 10 pro while doing this or would it force me to stay on home?

What will you be using the SSD for? If it's just for gaming then just get a Samsung 860 evo and call it a day.  Much cheaper than the m.2 970 evo and there's no discernible difference in performance while gaming. If it's for large file transfers/rendering on a daily basis then get the 970 evo. As for SSD brands, Samsung's SSD is one of the best in the market.

Its just for gaming and quicker bootup

  12. Can anyone reccomend any good M.2 SSDs (or would a 3.5 ssd be cheaper?) to replace my 1 tb hdd. I dont know much about nvme drives so i dont know what a good deal or price would be for what id be getting. also is there anyway i can transfer all my content from my hdd to my ssd and turn my hdd into a game drive?

We have played games through steam remote play but tht isn’t an option and we have already started hot seat games but can’t play now with corona

We also use family sharing for them to play on their own computers usually

If they are all in different locations with different PC's, why would you expect them to not have to buy the game?
