So ive been trying to transfer my HDD with windows to my ssd and i used macrium reflect to clone the drive however it kept failing then i tried aeoli to clone the disk and it worked however it still wont boot and it gives me this image (attatched below) whenever i try and boot from the ssd. Im not quite sure what im doing wrong or how to fix this issue, the hdd and ssd are the same size.

I have 1 Tb on my mac i was uploading photos to the cloud from my phone and downloading them on photos from my mac, all of a sudden i get a notification that i have low storage to see i have 3 gb left out of 1 tb it says 780 are in system, i called apple support to no avail and still have no storage left is there anything i can do or try to fix this? they suggested rebuilidng spotlight index but idk how that would help

so dont go through the boot menu just choose the drive in the load order of the bios?

I just recently took another windows 10 drive out of another desktop however when i tried to boot into it i always end up into the sam installation of windows on my main drive, how do i access the other drive to boot into windows?

I had it so originals downloaded to my Mac, and no I can't do that cause it would run out of storage on my cloud then and id have to delete duplicates to get the storage back. if I go back to reselect it gives me a screen to buy more storage

I turned it off an now I none of the photos I upload shows on my Mac and I can't turn it on again... and if I am able to some how turn it all on again im gonna have 3000 duplicates...

how would I go about making the new library or is Lightroom free cause if it is id rather use that

it would still upload them to the cloud if I selected the folder that they are in, in the external drive though wouldn't it?

MacBook Pro on Big Sur, but yeah if there's a other photo manager I mean that works too lol just don't want them wasting space on icloud

I want to open them in Mac OS in the photos app, but if I do that it will upload them to iCloud which is the problem, and I prefer the organization of the photos app rather than just looking at them in the finder

Is there a way possible to view photos on an external drive in the photos app without them uploading to my iCloud and wasting my storage. I have an old phone with about 11,000 photos and I am putting them on an external drive however I want an easy way to look through them and enjoy them is there anyway to do that in photos or another app that is able to help that way I don't waste my 50 gigs of iCloud.

I am trying to install a steam folder on an external drive on macOS however I keep getting errors saying the drive is not writable however I know that it is as I am able to transfer files to it is there any fix to this

yeah I was watching my gpu usage the whole time, in both task manager and afterburner and nzxt cam, they all said 1 percent gpu usage on the game and that my gpu was under 9 percent total load while playing. so how should i play the game while still being able to talk to my friends since discord is the issue is there any way to make discord not do that lol

I just tested it and it ran fine with discord closed, there was almost no gpu usage at all it was utilizing around 60 percent of my cpu though

i have noticed temps are higher than normal, but i dont know whats causing it, i clean the dust out of my pc every one or two months so theres no buildups

I have been playing black ops 3 zombies recently for the nostalgia but the game has been struggling to run even on low settings with nothing open but the game and discord, i have a 1070 ti and i5 8600 and i have tried changing every setting and i have even put it on the lowest settings and still cant figure out why its lagging when i know the game can be run on high or extra settings with my set up. i also been having the same problem in other games that are resource demanding even though i theoretically should have the specs needed to play the games at those settings is there any way to find out what else is causing the lag or making them impossble to even get 60 frames on?

I am in uni, I just don’t know if it’s worth it to wait for the legacy ports to return because they seem like it would be more useful than just two thunderbolt

I used it for video and photo editing as well as school, the only reason I wouldn’t want to wait is cause a laptop would be nice to have back for school things

My current MacBook is only 350 cause its a 2015, but yeah I would prefer the pro for my use case

My old MacBook Pro is biting the dust and I was curious if I should wait to buy one or trade in my current for 350 get the student discount and the free AirPods now. And get a nice m1 MacBook Pro with a Touch Bar and all that, or if should just wait and see if m1x is coming out this year. But also I would need a laptop for school so I don’t know what to do
