  1. I sould be able to cool your CPU, but it will get hot and noisy, I would recommend you get a third party cooler.
  2. Have you tried programming ? I started to learn C when i was about 14 and didn't know what i wanted to do and found it very useful when I later started learning it in school and already knew a lot about it.
  3. I once tried stuffing this PC with a GTS 240 I had lying aroud and it would still boot up (and then crash when i tried to play games because 300W is just not enough for this card) and it's able to run a GTX 750 ti at full load without any problems, so I doubt this to be a PSU problem
  4. Alright, I bought 8GB of RAM (2x4GB) to upgrade an old computer, installed it, but when I turned the computer on, it started by freezing in the booting process and i couldn't get into the BIOS. I then did the next logical step : I removed one stick to see what would happen. I can get into the BIOS, the memory is recognised (with either stick), but if I try to load windows, it will crash. The slots on the motherboard are working, since it works with 4x1GB of RAM. The motherboard is a Dell 0C2KJT (This is a pre-build system from 2010). What do you think can be causing this ? And is there a way to fix this ? thanks in advance !
  5. Alright, I dob't know how, but one of my friend figured out a fix, so after 3h30 of trying stuff, we're good to go, thanks anyway !
  6. Hey all, I'm currently having a small issue. With some friends, we decided to organize a LAN, and like every LAN it's been over 2 hours and we're still experiencing issues : We want to play an old game, (Star wars galactic Batlegrounds), we bought it from steam, and plugged all our compurters in a network switch. One of us create a game, and it's visible to everyone exept one person. It's not due to the OS, since the faulty PC runs on win7, but so does someone else who can see the game, It's not the ethernet cable, since we swaped out with one of the other player and are still experiencing the same issue. We also tried using an other pc using win 10 but it still failed to see the game Any idea what can be causing the issue ? Thanks in advance !
  7. @BlueCrazii Are you sure you want another X gamers 1 CPU (with 2 CPUs ofc) ?
  8. I think you need to have something plugged into the cpu fan header, or the mobo won't boot
  9. Not really, all games that I know of are optimized for 4 threads, so usually, the difference between the 2 CPUs are within margin of error. They are many videos on youtube about i5 vs i7 :
  10. The i7 has 4 more logical threads, it makes it a bit faster than an i5, but if your on a budget, it's definitly not worth the upgrade from an i5, since most game only use 4 threads, the gains are very minimals.
  11. I don't know of any 4K monitor over 60hz, you'll have to make a choice here
  12. Hey guys. I've been trying to shrink my main disk to make a 30GB partition for linux. I have 184GB free on my disk, however, when i tried to shrink, it says that only ~22GB are available for shrinking, because they are unmovable files somewhere on the disk. This is an SSD and i ran the optimisation tool. Do you know of any safe way to make the disk managment tool able to shrink my disk. Thanks in advance !
  13. That's a typo, i meant everything in bits and not bytes
  14. Can't you find a lapptop with an actual SSD inside ? Or are they too expensive ? I have a 6200U and it's running just fine, so i guess i'll trade a slightly better CPU for a better HDD if I could only choose from those 2
