Hi, So, i feel like my HyperX Cloud II's are missing something in the audio department and i dont wanna get a new set of cans so, i wannna get a DAC to help with that. The only problem is, the Cloud uses a TRRS input (4 Pole input) for both mic and audio and i need a DAC/AMP that can power both the mic and headphones. Anything $200 and below will be great but if the budget is not enough, i am willing to stretch a bit further. Thanks!

The Cloud came with a splitter. The Cloud II's came with no splitter and just a dac.

There is no splitter included. Just a USB DAC and Airplane Adapter. Do i need a splitter? I have no combo jack.

Do you need a splitter to power audio and mic? Or will it work fine without a splitter? I have heard HyperX did some power efficiency optimizations to allow the whole thing to work without a splitter. -
Ok, thanks. 'Good' was a bad description. I want detailed highs and the serrings for mids that will compliment the punchy badd and detailed highs. No specifics on the mids. I will just try out suggestions. Thanks!

Hi, I am planning on buying the HyperX Cloud II's. Before buying i wanna know if music audio quality is improved with the USB Dac while surround sound is off. If audio quality is worse, what are the best EQ setting? Please leave the Hz and the Db. I personally like a nice, detailed sound with punchy bass and good mids and highs. Also, if you think flat is the best, does flat sound the same across most headphones? Or, is it different?

Do i need a mic and audio splitter to plug it in directly with the mic? Or can i just plug it in to the green audio port?

thekeemo yes. I wanna know how much better is the M50X than the Cloud II's in sound quality and if it is worth buying the m50x with no mic and living with my integrated webcam mic or getting the cloud 2 and getting a new mic (webcam is c525 to check sound quality)

Hi, In about a week, i am buying the HyperX Cloud II's but i wanna know, is the sound quality good compared to the Audio Technica ATH M50X's? The sound of the Cloud II's are most likely not as good than the M50X's but i wanna know how much worse. I am currently using a pair of apple earpods. I need your answers before Saturday, August 13. Thanks!
