Ryujin2003 got a reaction from Mr.Nelf in Kaspersky files an antitrust lawsuit to EU and Russia against Microsoft for keeping users safe with Windows Defender
I can see where Kaspersky is coming from. It's not about Microsoft's AV protecting you, it's about Microsoft's injecting itself automatically, and nullifying additional revenue resources for Kaspersky. They cannot get people to renew if their renewal notice isn't displayed. I do give them (Kaspersky) Kudos, much less invasive Than McAfee and Norton..

Why does Kaspersky care? Unlike Norton and McAfee, I've never once seen Kaspersky on a preload from OEM. They don't get that revenue from HP and DELL because of that. Instead they rely on subscriptions. People who purchased a subscription if Kaspersky might want to keep it. So they should be alerted that Kaspersky is expired and their computer can be at risk. Microsoft is attempting to force itself into Kaspersky sales, even though MS doesn't get anything out of it. Norton doesn't care after the 6 month trial, they made money just from them being preloaded on your device. Profit by mass production volume.

People buy Kaspersky. It's not a preload, so Kaspersky is on a PC by choice. That's why Kaspersky is the only one complaining. MBAM is anti-malware, so it doesn't interfere with Microsoft's AV. Different purposes.

I personally used Kaspersky and MalwareBytes.
And I'm very satisfied with both of them.

I do have to say, this is much like a fresh version of W10, and Edge not letting you download Mozilla because "it may harm your PC". But let's you download Chrome no problem.... Thanks MS.

You don't have to have a smart phone to have a phone number. I've got a buddy still rocking the Nokia flip phone, doesn't use data users Ting, and doesn't pay much. Don't have to have a smart phone to receive a text message to verify.

Do you have a parent with a standard number that could work? What about subconscious your account to 2 factor authentication with GAuthenticate.

I'm pretty sure it's a discord requirement. Yes LTT can allow unverified accounts, but that opens them up to spammers and botted accounts by the masses.

But Discord is the one that had the specific phone requirements, LTT had no control over that. Not sure if they can make exception per user though.

Ryujin2003 reacted to BigDamn in Why you shouldn't water cool your PC
This video is certainly not LTT's best work. It appears they grabbed whatever coolers they had laying around and went to work. Where's the Corsair H115? Or more importantly the Corsair H115 Platinum (using CoolIt's pump design instead of Asetek's)? Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe the H100i V2 has been discontinued, why not more recent hardware?

I'm also concerned about the 150i performing WORSE than the H100i V2, which Alex claims is due to the CPU block being worse. Why can't I seem to find information that would prove that? From my research, not only does the H150i perform better than the H100i V2, the H150i should also be able to keep the 9700k under 80c at 5ghz (closer to 70c). This reminds me of when I watched Linus's review of the old H100i (that I've owned for several years) on the 4790k, where he stated it would top out at 90c with a mild OC. On my 4790k? 80c at 4.8ghz (don't remember the voltage). On my Ryzen 1700? Same cooler, 60c at 4ghz 1.4125v. Granted, my H100i is the CoolIt pump.

Lastly, why not try exchanging fans? Although Corsair fans are of the best, I would (reluctantly) argue that Noctua is THE best. This is where Noctua handily beats all other CPU cooler manufacturers. With that said, I own a set of a Corsair High Perf 120mm fans that noticeably improve thermals on my H100i (but they're loud!). This obviously wouldn't demonstrate the most cost effective way to cool your CPU, rather, each coolers performance ceiling.

Ok so i agree with pritty much everything you said, however...

I have to point out that while you done your best to keep the playing field level so to speak, you missed out one thing. Fans

You tested an AIO vs a Air cooler, now granted you could say you tested 'out of the box' coolers, which is fine, but that means your also testing fans and that has to be noted in the results, which you didnt note.

If you want to test AIO vs Air, then imo you should have taken out as many variables as possible which includes the fans since they are most certainly something people often switch out.

If it were me, i would have used the Noctua fans on both the AIO's and the Air heatsinks. That way its down purely to the heatsink vs the Pump+rad unit.

Your results could not only be down to the whole AIO vs Air cooler thing, but also a comparison between the Corsair fans and the Noctua fans, Since your using Noise as a point of testing, the difference in performance could be down to the Corsair fans being louder and as such not able to spin up as fast and thus cool as well.  The point of the video (as far as im aware) however isnt a comparison of fans, but rather Air vs AIO.

    Sure.
Ask them how many lines they want, store this in a variable Use a loop with the exit condition based on the variable (e.g., a while-loop with the exit condition being variable > 0 and decrement the variable at the end of the loop) In the loop, keep asking for whatever you wanted

The trademark-offices in pretty much every country let companies trademark pretty much anything they want as long as the request arrives with a bunch of money attached. It's really quite upsetting.

Yeah, this is the classic example of why you need at least some regulation.  Some game developers are clearly abusing the practice knowing full well that kids will spend tons of money in hopes of getting a new skin or progressing through a mobile game.  We shouldn't get rid of all microtransactions, but you should know exactly what you're getting and shouldn't need to buy them just to make reasonable progress.

And to those who blame the players or their parents (not you, clearly) -- I'm sorry, but you shouldn't be forced to skip half the games on the market just because you have a gambling disorder.  It's time we stop blaming victims and ask game devs to do better.

I'm normally pretty conservative when it comes to government getting involved in industry, but this shit is predatory and is ruining games.

If you want to put in microtransactions, fine, but don't hide stuff behind 0.001% chances so people will never get them without dropping hundreds or even thousands in loot boxes.

I'm tired of seeing really cool games marred by the fact that they're centralized around you gambling for your progression (see: Elder Scrolls Blades).

And I'm tired of seeing this across the industry as a whole. You can hardly ever just buy a game anymore. You buy access to a "service" which gives you the privilege to spend more money on crap you may not even receive.

I'm like meh. This doesn't change anything as far as I'm concerned. Seeing a full number doesn't give the average person any more useful info than the rounded number. If you want to unsub, you can still unsub, and if a lot of people do it, it goes down all the same.

Ryujin2003 reacted to Blze001 in Is it okay of I use Uninterruptible Power Supply for my gaming pc?
Having a UPS is a really good idea, actually. Odds are low-ish your computer will be damaged by a sudden power outage, but it can sometimes cause the OS to get a little wonky.

As far as what kind, take your PSU's rated wattage and find one rated to that wattage, or as close as you can get. For example, I found a CyberPower UPS on Amazon that's rated at 600w that can run for 2 minutes at full load. My computer will never draw the full 600w, but it gives me a cushion over 2 minutes, plus some headroom for other devices plugged into it (monitor, etc). Higher rated wattage on a UPS will translate to longer run-time, I use a 1000w one personally.

EDIT: Real quick, it's important to remember what a UPS is there for: not to let you keep gaming when the power goes out, it's just there to give you time to save and shut down your system properly.
