Yeet. You could just get a cool fannypack instead of the phone pouch? Has additional functionality. -
User is asked to input numbers until certain value is met
Ryujin2003 replied to Hafiz75's topic in Programming
Wow... You literally could've saved the whole entire effort by googling your question and stealing the first thing you find in Stack Overflow. If you don't care to learn, then why are you doing basic homework problems for an entry level course? -
Also, the majority of the website maintenance (along with other things) is done by government contractors (companies who contract with the government to preform the service), so I'm sure there's an argument about how the current contact doesn't support the costs, and they need more tax payer money in order to afford the fix. Blame the government sure, but greedy AF civilian corporations are just as equal on the blame. A LOT OF THIS WOULDN'T HAPPEN IF COMPANIES STOPPED TAKING SHORTCUTS IN ORDER TO MAKE ADDITIONAL PROFIT.

I caught that too. Either way, he/she/they/them is an asshole.

How much does it worth???....

Also, add an HDD. You'll get more if the other person had to do less to get it working. Otherwise, they'll already want less than you offer simply because it needs an HDD.- 23 replies

You can shoot the fan curve using MSI Afterburner if you want. I OCd my 480s (MSI GamingX 8GB) quite aggressively, and got about 60-70 degrees, but I also had much more aggressive fan profile. Stock, the fans aim for silence. Temps are fine. You can have lower temps with louder fans. Experiment and choose what you prefer.

Cool story bro.

Oh wow. That's awesome! Can you please share your PCMR ways with us and show us how you optimize W10? That would be like dope AF. I do envy your personal experience. One day, when I grow up, I hope to be as awesome as you.

$1.80 or Less Steam Games For The Week of April 22nd UPDATED Friday
Ryujin2003 replied to Paul Rudd's topic in Hot Deals
Paying a dollar for ANY of the bundles at HumbleBundle is better than the garbage you're advertising from steam. If person I mentioned wasn't familiar with those other sites, then they can feel free to look. You provided a list of games that included Shadow of Mordor, which is often on Fanaticle (you complain about repeating bundles over and over again). So, if the person doesn't have the game, you recommended it but not to pay full price, well, then I'm sure the repetitive sale would eventually benefit someone looking for the game. Providing additional insight. -
If this monitor has Freesync 2 and isn't working well with the GTX 1070, then it might be an Nvidia problem with drivers and not necessarily the GPU, depending on what issues you're having. If it's GSync/Freesync issues, then another Nvidia GPU might reproduce the same issues (again, not familiar with your issue, so sorry if I sound ignorant.) Otherwise, I 100% agree with @Princess Cadence and recommend waiting for Navi. Either Navi will be better, or not. Either way, you'll have more options, and the prices of NVidia should come down a bit when there is more competition.

I'm pretty sure in the settings, there's an option to unlock core clock and unlock voltage. You have to select that, then restart and you'll be able to modify from there.

$1.80 or Less Steam Games For The Week of April 22nd UPDATED Friday
Ryujin2003 replied to Paul Rudd's topic in Hot Deals
Then check out other sale sites like Fanatical, GamersGate, and HumbleBundle. They generally have a MUCH better selection than the Steam Games Dollar Bin. https://www.gamersgate.com/ https://www.fanatical.com/ https://www.humblebundle.com/ -
Just been hacked on steam. How long to recover account?
Ryujin2003 replied to cheiften98's topic in PC Gaming
Then Steam being hacked would be the least of your issues. If you have the mobile 2 factor authenticator app installed and they bypassed that, then you might want to get the garbage apps off your phone. You might want to change the passwords on your email and such. Unless your password was stupid easy and the same as other accounts, I'd recommend cleaning your PC and scanning for viruses, malware, keyloggers, etc... -

Enable 2-Factor authentication. Use stronger passwords. Don't store payment information. -
Will streaming video consume more data than downloading
Ryujin2003 replied to 220VoltsallCore's topic in Displays
So I think most of it will depend on the resolution (4k, 1080, 240, etc...). -
Having worked at a tech retailer as a repair tech and my own personal experience, I tend to stick with Samsung for reliability as well as performance. Even my Samsung 850 M.2 SATA is WAY better than my Kingston M.2 SATA (forget which model). I'm still running almost 4-5 years on my OCZ SSDs, so it's completely possible to have good drives that aren't Samsung. AData is rubbish (IMO), and don't like the entry level Kingston either. Why? Because I'd always seen my clients coming back with dead or defective SSD's MORE often than any of them other budget drives. If I'm going to recommend a budget SSD, I generally recommend PNY because I haven't experienced many drives failing in either my professional career or personal. AData is much more memorable as a failure, so I don't recommend them. And Kingston might be ok, but in my region, PNY is generally better price comparison for storage size. The failures of ADATA and other brands could've been bad lots, or could've been something else. But for reliability (even on budget offerings) there are other options. I'm not a "fan boy" but I stick with Samsung because of their reliability and performance for certain cases. But I still have PNY and my OCZ drives as well. Crucial is good from what I hear, but never had one because I was able to find better deals with sales with different companies at the time.

The access time of the SSD is definitely beneficial. But I'd definitely look at an SSD. Yes, there are some really good mechanical drives, but they are more susceptible to movement. Plus the weight too. I'm assuming this is going into your laptop? Have you already maxed out the internal storage? And you have cloud offerings too that might help with saving the cost and saving on extra stuff to carry around.

Didn't watch this one. The stupid thumbnails finally got to me. Being older, I've been finding it harder to follow LTT out side of Tech Quickie. Why? Because it's gotten super immature. It's not that I don't have a sense of humor, it's that I don't spend my free time watching people act like jackasses (unless I'm actually watching Jackass). It feels like they make videos for the sake of just putting content up. Images are dumb, everyone acts like they are 9 years old. I know LTT gets new viewership, so good for the company.

Please list all of your system specs, and check thermals on your system. If you shut it down for say, 15 minutes, then power it back up and get back on, does it run fine, or is it now slow all the time since the 5 minutes ago mark?

Just as it's too early to say how good or bad Ryzen will be, 4 months could be too early for you to say you don't want it. If Ryzen comes out cheaper and on par or better than the 9900K would you stick with 9900K for Intel's brand loyalty or pay less for something equivalent or better? Obviously, if Ryzen isn't as good, then don't go for it. But it's too early to say Ryzen will be an Intel 9900K killer just as it's too early to say it won't. So why not buy a newer processor if it's cheaper and better/same? The 9900K is currently about $480 USD+, plus the cost of the MB. AMD boards generally cost less, and even if the processor is $400, it's $80 cheaper plus cost of the MB. Too many variables to say anything about pricing or performance. ...That is unless there would be a reason to stick with Intel over AMD if AMD offered something cheaper and competitive. My 2 cents, so I'll shush now.

Don't go SSHD. Go HDD or SSD. I've seen SSHD's fail much more than HDD's or SSD's. and if the SSD part burns out, the HDD part goes along with it.
