  1. Well I decided K63, with the tray and G903 after going back and forth many times between them
  2. seriously considering just going with that as its a complete solution, having to resist the temptation to buy and research it more haha
  3. hmmm has anyone compared the logitech vs the corsair wirless keyboard & mouse? seems like a decent bundle
  4. as silly as it sounds I did consider "expanding" a cheap tv dinner tray. But I want something decent as silly as it sounds I guess maybe a mouse mat on top would create a decent surface
  5. yeah that kinda thing annoyingly there is no Logitech alternative that I've found
  6. hello all, without giving my life story I'm currently in a situation where I play PC games on my 65" tv while sitting on a beanbag, its pretty chill tbh. anyway, with it being black Friday I felt it a great opportunity to grab a wireless mouse that I had my eyes on a while back and while I'm at it a wireless keyboard. I settled on (if you're interested) the Logitech G903 and G613 for those interested, I can save over £100 (kerching!) this weekend although it's still a high cost So what I am looking for is a tray. Pretty silly but a tray that I can place on my lap and use the keyboard and mouse on top of. I've been looking online and can find all sorts of trays, laptop stands, food trays, but not a large, stable and comfortable on my lap tray. Its silly, i remember seeing some LTT videos about these things but cannot find realistic options on Amazon, please help if you know of something that maybe suitable
  7. Yeah but I think it would be a nice plug in if you could toggle it on or off, let’s face it we’ve all been there when we wanted to know the size of folders at one point or another
  8. to populate this column with useful data
  9. Hi there! I'm looking for a plugin for Windows Explorer that won't give my computer the flu! Normally I'd use something like Windirstat but I was just wondering if anyone knew of something that may work with Windows. I'm guessing the OS does not support this out the box becaue its probably quite intensive for everytime that you start up file explorer but something that you can toggle on or off surely would be useful! All help appreciated and Mods, if I'm in the wrong forum for this thread, please feel free to move me! :D Thanks!
  10. Clever aren’t available in uk and from what I can tell the vr isn’t available in uk too annoyingly
  11. http://laptopmedia.com/laptop-specs/msi-gs63-stealth-8re/ whats your opinion? This seems like a good value option to me but what do you think?
  12. just have to play the waiting game till they’re available in the UK, the MSI GS65 seems interesting too but I cannot find these being sold in the UK anywhere yet it’s quite annoying.
  13. I think I’ll probably go for the Zephyrus M tbh, now I just need to find where to get it in the UK and release info. Thanks for the help!
  14. How long till they’re available? And could you send me a link to some examples?
  15. Hello everyone and anyone! I’ve been a long time desktop user and haven’t really worried about getting a decent laptop till now. I’ve gotten a new job and will be moving to a home with less space, unfortunately not enough space for my computer. So my GF will be taking care of my PC till she can eventually join me later in the year. Anyway, point is, I am in the market for a new gaming laptop and while I have been looking around a little, I have not decided yet and would like some ideas from you. Before I list some preferences it’s worth saying that the place I’ll be going to provide a discount on Dell hardware, but I’m not overly struck on the big clunky aesthetics. I am looking to spend around £1800 GBP for ideally a gaming laptop with portability in mind. This has made me think of the Razer blades but I’m not 100% sold on them and want to know my options first. I’m not overly fussed on the specs but I like to futureproof a little, (which is difficult with no upgradability normally) and for the money and gaming it should have in the region of: Atleast i5 but really should be an i7 for the money atleast 16GB of RAM GTX 1060 minimum 500GB storage minimum (PCIE minimum but M.2 probably ideal), ideally 1TB. Also to consider: Touchscreen, 2 in 1 functionality and decent webcam are all pluses. Portability, I don’t want a laptop with bigger radiators than my car. So what would you recommend? Thanks in advance! Rob
  16. Maybe try to RMA on manufacturers warranty. My problem isn't booting the OS its BSOD. I have taken some screenshots of the SMART information of my drives & loaded optimized defaults to see if that maybe the issue. Can someone who knows SMART take a look at these and let me know. According to CrystalDiskInfo all drives are good with one being at 94%
  17. think I can rule out the RAM being an issue, I'll continue to troubleshoot.
  18. Hi, I’m getting BSODs lately and I am trying to troubleshoot the issue. I cannot seem to find a fix though and it seems there are different error codes every time. I’ve tried all sorts and I still cannot seem to find a fix for the issue, please help if you can. So one reoccuring error code is DRIVER IRQL NOT LESS OR EQUAL another is Stop code: SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION What failed NTFS.sys Yesterday I had Microsoft support on the phone to try and help with an issue I had while troubleshooting (SFC and DISM were not working) and they decided to use the Windows.iso to try and fix this issue. I guess this did not work. I have tried to take pictures of the stop codes everytime this has happened, I realise its a little unorthadox but I have put them in an album for you to look over. I would add .dmp files but I’m not 100% where they are, I’ll try and do that as an edit. Thanks in advance.
  19. Hello everyone, I am writing this post today in a hope that someone can help me fix a fault that I have had now for a little while. I have an issue with random BSOD's and I cannot work out why! They happen at different times under different situations and I am hoping someone could read the logs better than I can to at least point me in the right direction. When they do happen it does seem to be during playing games, yesterday the system BSOD'd 3 times during stronghold 2 steam edition (hardly a taxing game). Here are the logs from reliability monitor. I have also attached a saved copy of my reliability history, in case that can help you diagnose the issue. I have just done a deep scan of my PC using AVG and found about 4 issues so I'm not sure whether that may be a joint cause but I doubt it was. Zues_12.10.17_reliabilityhistory.XML
  20. Bump.. Still having these issues, can anyone help??
  21. I have just done a windows memory test and it found nothing EDIT: I have started a thread on another forum to try and find the answer for this issue. Here and here so if you're looking for answers to a similar issue, try these.
  22. I have tried to troubleshoot what I can and here is a video update on the progress: https://youtu.be/3MKNEsPiY9M I tried this and I don't think it helped unfortunately. I have checked that fast boot is enabled (it always has been), couldn't find the extra checks options though unfortunately. and changed some of the boot options. Before all my drives where in the boot options, now only my OS drive is the boot option. I also just checked the ASUS website to see if there is a new BIOS, there isn't, I have the current version at 3007 For the record, the boot time has reduced to about 1-2 minutes rather than 4-5 minutes but it's still pretty bad.
  23. Ok I won't be able to do that soon but I'll try troubleshooting this soon to see if it fixes the problem
  24. I have both, OS on SSD then 2 HDD and 1 old SSD as storage
  25. I think so, but what settings should I look for in particular? I'll make sure
