  1. Those displays are a bit picky. I have a pcbank 27" ips but mine only shows the post screen on one of the dvi ports
  2. Thanks. The Hikvsion once looks pretty nice.
  3. Due to a recent incident at work (i deliver flowers.. dangerous occupation) I've finally decided to get myself a decent body camera. I'm looking for something with a long battery life and decent video quality, preferably with some form of remote. Some form of g-shock automatic recording would also be nice.. Clunkiness doesn't really bother me but the lighter the better. The Marantz PMD901V looks like a solid camera but the price tag around 350€ is perhaps as high as I'd like to go. 100-200€ would be easier to swallow but I'm after something reliable instead of chinesium stuff. Here's a few makes and models I've seen mentioned but know nothing about: Axom Body v2/3 Marantz PMD901V Boblov 1296p Guardian G1 Watchguard vista Panasonic arbitrator bwc Vievu le5 by safariland group Any help is much appriciated.. I specifically stopped driving taxi due to this crap.. feel free to suggest anything above the 350 cap if its that much better.
  4. Ok here's the info from thaiphoon. Identical for both sticks edit: managed to get into windows on an am1 motherboard when i lowered to 1333mhz
  5. I'll have to install windows on that machine Ram does not appear to work on wifeys asrock am3 board edit: dmidecode -t memory gave this: # dmidecode 3.1 Getting SMBIOS data from sysfs. 6. Well.. it booted in my htpc which is an old fm2 board and it shows 32gb ram. The ram chips are labeled 7un47d9sxp mtec but uncle google gives me nada on those.
  7. So.. i thought I ordered 4x 8gb cheapo china ram sticks.. because 16gb ddr3 usually means a pair of 8gb sticks.. Nope.. not today. Haven't opened the packaging yet so I dunno what they've sent me.. mislabeled ddr4, unbuffered 16gb ddr3?
  8. So.. it seems it's stable again and i could install windows on a spare ssd. Heatsink is warmer at the base but temps seem ok.
  9. I tried a psu tester and everything lights up except the -5V led. After checking the atx24 pinout it seems to be correct. it's leaning towards the cpu or motherboard Edit: -5V is not connected on the ATX24
  10. Try a better power supply to see if it boots properly
  11. have you tried a usb nic to see if the issue persists?
  12. I have multimeters but I'll probably get a psu tester also
  13. So, my old x58-based gaming pc is on it's last verse. The symptom is that it crashes on boot. I moved the ssd over to a backup pc with an identical Asus P6X58D-E board (with an older bios) and the same windows installation booted just fine. I moved the ram and gpu over and things are stable. I've narrowed it down to either the cpu, psu or motherboard. The CPU (Xeon W3680) didn't want to run stable at stock voltage and required at least 1.35V which leads me to believe that the cpu is degraded to the point it needs replacing, wonky motherboard (did give me some issues with the old i7 960 previously used) that can't feed enough voltage and/or current to the cpu, or that the 10+ years old Corsair HX1000V power supply is starting to show it's age. I'm considering ordering another xeon off aliexpress just to throw into the machine that's working cause the 1st gen i7 is struggling with games.
