So, I love my laptop for all it has been. Until 3 weeks ago, when it started shutting off at random. I was in Google Docs, and it shut off. So, I thought, "Hey, the battery is dead", but no. The battery was at 24% charge. If it was dead, it would hibernate and resume once plugged in. But it had crashed Windows, and shut all the way down without my permission just using 2 tabs in Chrome. It is not overheating, and I ran antivirus and antimalware software on it. Nothing came up, except a few root files from a game and a bitcoin miner. So, what can be going wrong? To fix it, I have to plug the computer in. That's not right. What is happening? Asus X54C Pentium B960 4GB 1333 MHz RAM Windows 7 Home Premium Running off battery

Awesome phone. Just wish that Qi was integrated. Seriously. LOVE BoomSound and the design. Also the specs. Bro, do you even spec? This will be the dude-you-got-2-cameras-on-the-back phone with omg-you-actually-got-a-phone-wow. Also made for dude-i-did-not-buy-an-iphone-because-isheep-what-do-you-think. Awesome phone. Just needs the Qi.

I got 43/80, mainly because I started hammering into the PC side of things in 2012. But I did poke around a few older computers and fixed my family's Dell Optiplex GX270 a few times.

On my Pentium B960 laptop, I let it go to 85Ccause I trust ASUS engineering, and my old Dell (Pentium 4 2.8 Gigajertz) is limited to 67.7C (TMAX) and the cooler looks like this anyway, http://amzn.to/1dqiAr9, and it will chug along very decently for a 9yo pc.

My Asus laptop runs at 55o at IDLE. Is there any way I can speed up the cooling fan or make it run cooler?

A few times I have facepalmed soooo hard in front of non-techies, it's not even funny. When I wasn't a techie, about when I was 5. "Why did the Gateway logo try to take me to the Internet?" Then I caught the tech bug, and it now goes like this: My dad when drunk (he's 58) is like: Grabs the Xbox controller, and takes himself out of Netflix and winds up to the Connect to Windows menu in Settings, and I have to say, "Put down the controller, and give it to Mom, please." He gives to my mother, who then leaves the living room, and he grabs the controller again. My mom be like: "Connor, why did the computer do this?" Windows XP memory leak. I just told her to hold in the power button, and then restart the PC. She does, and it BSODs again. "What did you do?" "I clicked on the ad thing."

I have had a Asus X54C laptop for the past year or so, and it originally came with a 320 GB Seagate 5400RPM HDD. It was fine, for about a week. Then, the hard drive decided to die, and I took it out, and recovered the data of the old drive, and bought a 120 GB Samsung 830 and installed it in there and everything has been fine since. I also use a 8GB flash drive for school and other work.
