  1. Thanks! Love this case you should probably check out the Prodigy build i did as well
  2. Waterblock(s) being installed on the R9 290x's
  3. Here's a little video I shot during installation of the GPU block(s)
  4. Well after my format and windows reinstall... These are my results at stock speeds NOW I'm happy! 30 FPS average and 50 FPS MAX higher....
  5. This is my only argument.... this is one of my 290x cards (Great results) and this is them in CF....now I know CF doesn't DOUBLE your score or FPS but it should be a little more than this.... My brother's PC and on windows 7 and i'm running windows 8.1 and when I did the driver nuking with DDU I didn't have ANY programs going from his current AMD card to my r90's than back to his card....
  6. That's a easy fix dude... drill out the holes a bit wider on the backplate with my R9 290X's I had to use longer screws because the EK screws were too short saved myself 80 bucks not buying EK backplates lol
  7. Yup... I'm just prepping my system to a fresh start... just gonna format it and re-install windows and see what happens
  8. no but i benched in tomb raider.... both my 7950 setup and 290x's get 60 FPS lol probably worth mentioning that in advanced warfare I used to get flicking sometimes while gaming on my 7950's.... This also happens with my 290x's! but that could be a game glitch and not a video card driver issue
  9. That is EXACTLY what I did prior to taking out my 7950's... Uninstalled catalyst, uninstalled generic video drivers from device manager, booted into safe mode... uninstalled NVIDIA, Intel than AMD and shut down... swapped out my cards, installed omega... and this is the crap i'm getting... come to thing of it.. even my 7950's didn't bench that well.... so maybe it's just a corrupt OS?!?!
  10. did you use the OEM backplates? or are you not able to...
  11. with heaven 4.0 when you select the extreme option its automatically windowed...with valley extreme HD it's full screen
  12. Hey guys... I need some help because i'm running out of ideas I recently went from 7950 CF to a R9 290x CF setup (MSI Twinfrozr IV) My rig is watercooled using acrylic tubing so before ripping it apart to put in the new cards I tested each card in my brother's computer His specs: Intel i5 2500K Gigabyte P87X-UD3-B3 Kingston HyperX Fury 8GB Corsair HX850w OCZ Vertex 2 boot drive These were the results using heaven 4.0 (wasn't aware valley had a extreme HD at the time ) Sweet! that looks great and pretty consistent to each other. My specs: Asus Maximus VI Extreme Intel i7 4770K Corsair dominator Platinum's 1866MHz 16GB Corsair AX1200i After I put them in my rig in CF... these are the results i'm getting on both heaven 4.0 Extreme and Valley 1.0 extreme HD So I disabled one card and tested again I've used DDU to clean my drivers and reinstall them... using AMD's new Omega drivers... I even defaulted my BIOS settings and stock CPU speeds (was OC's to 4.5GHz) so what the hell!?!?! My last option is to format my PC....but anything I can try before I do that? Thanks fellas
  13. to answer my own question for the next person... Yes you can! just need longer screws because the screws that come with the water block isn't long enough to go thru the back plate, PCB than to the waterblock
  14. how do you like the monitor overall??
  15. $25 dollars?!?!?!?! FOR 90K!!!!!!!!!! Yeeahhhhhh..... I would of emailed back and said Forget it.. My name and address is on the box it's nine. Good bye lol I live in Canada... send them to me if they were coming here anyway
  16. Extremely happy with mine... But gonna love it even more when the 290x CF gets put in
  17. I would use two 360's rads minimum with 290x... if you have a case that can support it I'd even go 480 rad.... more surface area for cooling is never a bad thing
  18. yeahh..... no. you're probably better off using food coloring than INK.... (BOTH bad ideas)
  19. I have both GPU's and CPU under water.... I will most likely NEVER go back to air cooling.... my 4770K is over clocked to 4.5GHz (from 3.5GHz) with temps never surpassing 57C under FULL LOAD and 30ish at idle and my GPU's (currently using 7950's CF) I have never seen go higher than 38 degrees under FULL LOAD..... I recently bought two R9 290x and i'm just waiting for my water blocks to come in.. full custom loop water cooling IS expensive... so before venturing on down that route... plan ahead, watch youtube videos and read lots and lots of threads about it....
  20. My loop has been up for 4+ months now and I still have air in my rads that are still bleeding... It's not an issue as long as you dont have a leak ur good!
  21. Turn off your computer. Done..Dead silent!
