This would be a good idea if the wipe doesn't work.

    6W, that was funny.

I still believe it's a software issue because it's locking at 30Hz on multiple games.  Can you try more games and see if it continues to be at 30Hz?  Boot into safe mode and use DDU to wipe the drivers, it's much more effective.

That being said, having a cheap PSU is like running cheap gas so it's a worthwhile upgrade regardless of it being the issue or not.

@Gordon Bennett The only one trolling is the guy reporting people for opinions about computer components.  Opinions that are shared by many in the community.  You don't agree, and that's fine, but that does not make you any more correct.

I said the price difference is better allocated towards games, but I also said if the price difference between the two cards was not an issue, to get the 1080.

It's really simple.  If he's concerned about budget (as 99% of PC builders are), then I think he's better off putting that money towards games for the reasons I've listed above.  If the $220 doesn't concern him, he should get the 1080.  Though I'm not sure why he would have even asked other than maybe being worried his CPU would have been too much of a bottleneck.

I have the the 2 fan Zotac (AMP! Edition) in a tiny little case and it's able to stay cool overclocked to 2000MHz.  I highly recommend it!

JJBTEXAS got a reaction from FPS-Russia in No Man's Sky - STEAM or GOG?
I'm a huge fan of the DRM free obviously, but some of Steam's features are just so darn convenient.  For example, if they later release a Linux version, I would have both.  I don't think GOG does that.  Also, Steam Link to the bedroom TV!
I'm on the fence.  The delay of the PC version didn't even bother me because I was going to wait for reviews of the game play.  Depending on which reviews you read, the most consistent complaint seems to be about graphics (draw distance, textures, etc).  I'm hoping the PC version really gets to stretch it's legs a little more with the much stronger hardware.
