  1. For anyone wondering, it was the CPU. Went out and bought a 14700K and it works now.
  2. After my PC had been on for roughly three weeks while i was away for work, i rebooted it to finish some windows updates. When rebooting it got stuck in a "bootloop" where it doesn't post and continually reboots every 8-10 seconds. There is no display output whatsoever from the GPU or the on-board graphics (tried with both DP and HDMI outputs), and the CPU Q-Led on the motherboard is lit up red. At this point the PC has probably rebooted hundreds of times and not one of them has resulted in it posting. These are the troubleshooting steps I've taken so far: - Re-seating the CPU and cooler (I am using a Thermal Grizzly contact frame, haven't tried reinstalling the ILM yet) - Updating the BIOS to the latest version. - Moving the RAM around and running only 1 stick in various slots. - Unplugging the GPU from power and PCI-E - Removing the SSD's - Tried with the motherboard out of the case and only CPU and RAM installed, confirmed the CPU gets warm and the CPU Q-Led is still on. Also re-installed the ILM for this step. At the moment i'm leaning towards the CPU being dead, and according to the very basic troubleshooting guide Asus provides based on the red CPU Q-Led they seem to agree. I do not have another one available to test with so i would halve to buy a new one to do that. The build is roughly 1 year old, and was build by myself. PC Specs: CPU: Intel Core i7 13700k MOBO: Asus ROG Strix Z790-F Gaming Wifi RAM: G.Skill Trident Z5 RGB DDR5-6000, 2 x 16gb GPU: AORUS RTX 4080 Xtreme WaterForce Storage: Kingston KC3000 NVMe, 2 x 2TB PSU: Asus ROG Strix Gold Aura Edition 1000w CPU Cooler: Asus ROG Ryuo III 360 ARGB Case: Lian-Li O11 Dynamic Evo OS: Windows 11 64-bit
  3. I formatted it with a gparted live cd when before i tried to install Linux, and that didnt work either.
  4. I cant find that stupid crashdump file. I just tried installing linux, and about a minute into the installation i got this error. I cant imagine its the drive, seeing as Windows works fine on my other computer and its only about 2 months old.
  5. Memtest completed without any errors, so ram is all good. If the mobo or cpu was the problem, would the system post? Because those two are really the ones im left with
  6. I havent tried replacing it, but ive removed it, waited 30min and reinserted it several times. The drive works just fine in a diffrent PC. Ive tried with one and one stick, and with diffrent ram, still had the same problem. Also tried using diffrent slots, same results. Im currently doing a memtest86 on the ram just to make sure its not the problem
  7. PC Specs: Asus P8Z77-V Motherboard Intel Core i7 3770k at stock speeds. Patriot Viper 2x8gb ddr3 1600mhz Intel 5 Series 480gb SSD WD Caviar Green 2TB drive Nvidia GTX Titan 6gb Corsair H100i CPU cooler CX600 PSU (brand new) Windows 7 Ultimate A couple of days ago my PC scren suddenly turned black while playing minecraft, but then it came back. Kinda like when the Nvidia driver crashes. some time after that it bluescreened, and after that its been stuck in a boot loop. By bootloop i mean it posts, then it starts loading windows but crashes when the logo is about done with its spinning thing. This continues to be the problem even though ive reinstalled windows. Ive tried everything i can think of; various BIOS options and windows recovery, ive updated to the latest BIOS version. Thinking Windows might be the problem, i used a diffrent PC and did a clean format and install of that, worked fine on the other Pc but not in mine. So today i started removing one and one component so see what the problem was. The GPU was the first to go, still the same problem. Then i tried some known good ram, still didnt work. After doung some research i was left with CPU, mobo and PSU. From what ive read, if it was the mobo or CPU the PC wouldnt post at all. So with this information, i went out and bought a new CX600 PSU, wich doesnt worth either. Any suggestions are very much welcome, i would love it if i didnt have to buy a new pc....
  8. So Yesterday i finally decided to pick up a pair of pretty decent IEM's (Shure SE425, paid about $320 for them here in Norway), and i definetly dont regret it. However, my question is if these need any amplification, and if they do, what would you guys recommend? I guess it would also be a good idea to get a DAC aswell, as my onboard audio probably isnt the best(Asus P8-Z77-V). As for a budget, i have about $220 to spend. If there arent much worth buying in that budget, i could always wait until next month when i get moar money.
  9. The screen! Gotta love dat 1440p on mobile
