    Looking for a tablet

I don't really want to buy used. THe Galaxy Tab S2 would be an option as well. It is currently on sale for 10€ but it only runs Android 7. I don't have a problem with Android 7 or 8 but I want to keep my device for some years and I really don't want to use Android N in 2021.

    Looking for a tablet

THe cheapest 2018 IPad here costs 285€. But it is only a 32GB model und unlike the Samsung tablets the storage can't be expanded by a micro SD. And I prefer the aspect ratio of the Galaxy. I would prefer an Android Tablet but the update support for iOS devices is very good.

    Looking for a tablet

I recently started looking for a budget tablet. First I looked at the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.5 (2018) which costs 235€ (on sale). The reviews of this tablets aren't that good, many say that the performance is too low for the MSRP. But the MSRP is over 300€. Then there is its predecessor the Galaxy Tab A 10.1 (2016) which costs 140€. The advantages of the 10.5 are the better speakers, a bit more performance and the support. While both run Android Oreo the newer one will get updates while the older one probably wont. (Of course there are other small improvements like USB C and facial recognition.) But there are other tablet manufacturers as well. The Huawei MediaPad T5 10 costs about 210€. Is the Tab 10.5 even worth the big price premium over the 10.1 or should I just skip Samsungs Tablet lineup and get something else?

    Storage help

Personally I don't need more then 240GB of SSD storage in a desktop PC. I have Windows, most programms and some data on my 240GB SSD and I don't even use 120GB.

    Which PSU should I choose?

There is no tier list with every PSU listed in it. Chances are high that the person who made this list hasn't checked out this specific PSU.

    Which PSU should I choose?

The VS Series PSUs were really bad, no surprise it blew up. Corsair makes good PSUs but most brands have some bad models. That's why you sould never choose a PSU just because of the brand, always look at the specific model you want to buy. There is PSU tier lists on the internet.

Wait for 2060 or buy 1060 now

I asked myself a similar question. There is a 1060 6G on sale for 266€ + a free 240GB SSD. But you most likely have to compare the 1060 6G to something like a 2050 or 2050Ti. (Of course it is not confirmed that they will release a 2050 or 2050Ti but since they rise their prices they will need more low end cards.)

    Is this a good deal? - GTX 1060 6G

The HDD is almost empty. 240GB will be totally fine. That's my main concern. A GTX 1050Ti would be fine for my tasks but Since I have to spend 50€ on a SSD anyways, the 1060 6G costs effectively 216€ which is about 50€ more then a decent 1050Ti. Of course waiting is always an option but since Nvidia has just announced their new cards it will take them some time to release a budget option. Especially since they increased the price of the 2070 compared to the 1070. On the other hand I will probably get more use out of the 1060 6G since I will probably have to replace the 1050Ti sooner. But from another point of view this could be an advantage. My favourite PC game atm is Hollow Knight which needs almost no performance. The most demanding game I want to play is Rise of the Tomb Raider which I don't own right now. But I hope the price will drop after they release the sequel. I don't use any GPU intensive programs.

    Is this a good deal? - GTX 1060 6G

I added the link to the original post. Saturn is a big electronics store in Germany.
  10. Today I found an ASUS Dual GTX 1060 6G for 266€ which is a normal price for a cheap 1060 6G. But you get a free Adata SU650 240GB SSD which costs about 50€. My laptop currently has a almost dead 1TB HDD and I wanted to upgrade to a 240GB SSD anyways. My system has a R5 1600 with 16GB of RAM. At first I wanted to get something like a 1050Ti since I don't really play demanding titles. Then I changed my mind and thought that I could wait until new GPUs hit the market. But now I'm considering this Combo if this is a really good deal. Recommendations? Here is the link to the deal: https://www.saturn.de/de/product/_asus-geforce®-gtx-1060-dual-oc-6gb-2164841.html

    Can't remove screw

It is a Phillips and the screwdriver is exactly the right size and is in like new condition.

    Can't remove screw

It is a Toshiba Satellite Pro L650. I already have a newer laptop but I wanted to get my old one working again.

    Can't remove screw

No, they aren't. I already opened up the whole laptop with the help of a guide when I cleaned it some time ago. There are holes in the bottom of the laptop with a tiny laptop screw in each one. The screws hold the bottom plate in place. Each hole is 0,5-1,5 cm deep.

    Can't remove screw

Recently I realized that multiple keys on the keyboard of my old laptop stopped working at the same time. Now I decided to open it up, try to reconnect the flex cable and if this doesn't work, get a replacement keyboard. But some of the screws can't be removed by a normal screwdriver. Now I want to ask what to do with screws that either don't spin at all or spin but don't get out of the thread. Some people recommend using a drill but I don't want to drill out a screw which holds in the motherboard.
  15. I don't have much experience as well but I can share my thoughts with you. The board should work fine without the ports you don't need. But to unsolder the ports you probably need something like an desoldering tool instead of the heatgun. But someone else should probably confirm what I just said before you start.
