  1. For crowfall idling, chrome in Bg and a couple other things running in BG, CPU is Avg 70% GPU 75% and 40FPS on crowfall, actually find CPU/GPU atm not far off matching with rest of sys, even in full PVP not seeing too much drop
  2. Yup, CPU is lightly overclock, the AIO handles it sweet, rx480 hadnt known thought/known of rx580 flash, so will give that a go.. as for saving I tried that for zen gen1 and gave up waiting and brought the fx8350, very very shortly after zen went hello daddy. the ampere/navi cards wait will prolly be best bet. bottle neck the snot out of cpu with them, save and replace CPU/GPU to suit. Much appreciated, hadnt thought of nxt gen GPUs ill prolly overclock CPU/GPU that I have more as much as pos safely with the RAM upgrade. then when NXTgen card get here, bottle neck??? then major the MB/CPU and reuse the GPU from old sys to new
  3. Was looking at building a new sys as had this since 2017 , but corvid19 just gonna hang for anouther year so upgrade options please, mainly thinking GPU/Ram only Budget: Dunno prolly thinking 3-500US So most likely gonna see the card bottle necked Im guessing, Country: NZ Current System Motherboard: Sabertooth 990fx r2.0 * CPU: AMD FX8350 Black Ed RAM 8GB DDR3 2x4Gb HyperX Fury 1866?? ----> Got 2 x16Gb Kits of DDR3 HyperX fury 2x8Gb 1866 on way, will see if MB is happy with 2 kits rather than a 32Gb Kit PSU: EVGA SNova 750 G3 GPU: Power Color Red Devil RX480 * ** Case NZXT h440 Storage: Cudda HDD 500Gb x1, Samsung SSD evo850 250Gb Cooling: EVGA AIO 360mm Front Mount IN, Top and Rear 120s OUT * Yes the MB is PCIE 2 and the GPU devil is PCIE3 ** the devil is prolly the max size card can go on length 12.2 (310) x 5 (130) x 1.5 (38) inches (MM) https://www.userbenchmark.com/UserRun/28939337 Trying to get a anouther red devil rx480 seems pointless as cant get one easy to link em I Kinda thinking anouther red DEviL....... rx5700xt*** if the PCIE 4 plays nice with the PCIE 2, and use it for a temp GPU when I upgrade MB/CPU combo *** Yes this will be bottlenecked as fk, kinda thinking of a temp GPU when up grade MB/CPU in 12mths I wanna up my Crowfall from Med settings and 30-40 frames to 60-80FPS on Med setting Throw some ideas my ways, cheers
  4. No i mean methanol, I find it better or rather prefer it on my track car in the sprayer, also have injection. I use the Meth/dis-stalled water reservoir for both my sprayer and injection to save on weight Will have a look at the NOZ/CO2 option Methanol dissolved in water is apparently non conductive, still locating pure methonol specs and vaps off at 65'c so wouldn't be overly concerned about liquid, waiting on borrowing a surface temperature reader to see what the surface of the radiator is at peak and how the methanol will dissipate. Will check out that video
  5. I am thinking of using some car modding techniques used but applied to a pc to boost the performance of a sealed liquid cooling unit namely the x61 Kraken. Meth sprayers, in cars its sprayed on the inter-cooler and vap off cooling down the air charge headed to the engine, but would this work on the radiator as a quick albeit short boost in cooling capabilities for the cpu and gpu when they hit certain temps for a short lived cooling while at peak temp. Ive done a bit of a hunt around but cant find any info as to if this would work or wouldnt work for pc cooling Heres a link to results from this method used in car application and link for the basic setup of how it works http://www.enginebasics.com/Advanced Engine Tuning/Intercooler Sprayers.html
