  1. Alright, so even with an upgrade to say, a 5600XT or 5700 it will be fine? And yeah, I'm in Europe.
  2. I've bought this PSU (NOX Hummer X Gold 650W) a few years ago because it was ranked decently well on the PSU tier list and it was decently cheap here. Nothing has gone wrong (so far) but I no longer see NOX anywhere in the tier list and I'm looking for a GPU upgrade. Is this thing a time bomb and I should throw it in the trash ASAP? Is it any good or worth replacing just in case? Rest of the system is an R5 1600AF, an Asus TUF B450 board (that I'm also not entirely confident on, but it works), a 1050Ti and a handful of storage drives. That 1050 Tie will be replaced soon-ish whenever I get the chance.
  3. Alright, that settles it. Hummer X Gold it is. Thank you for your help!
  4. Not planning to do more than this 2600 for quite a while, I just have some issues with salty air (living near the ocean) and hoping that Asus' claims are true.
  5. I'm rebuilding my system and it's gonna have a R5 2600 (1600AF turned out to be more expensive), an Asus B450 TUF, 3 HDDs and an SSD, and a 1050TI (for now, it will get replaced soonTM). I have to get my parts locally and I can't decide between the NOX Hummer X Gold, CM MasterWatt 600W, and Corsair CV650 (the next step up would be a RM650x and that no longer fits in budget.) After checking the tier list, the Hummer X Gold seems like the better choice, but I want to be sure.
  6. So they will need to stay powered on, but I could, for example, disconnect an inactive disk reader, and connect a hard drive? It sounds too simple.
  7. So, in the BIOS, my H110 MB has an option to toggle one or more SATA ports as SATA hot plug. Does that mean I can connect and disconnect a SATA drive when I need?
  8. I also found a R9 380X reference design here for the same as a 1050 Ti, but it's pretty long.
  9. Newegg doesn't ship to my country, and IF it does, it would have to go through customs, and that is a mess. The cheapest RX470 I can get is 188€, and a RX480 4GB is 212€. But being so, I will wait for the 1050Ti prices to come down after some of the hype has passed. I KNOW I can get a 1050Ti for less than 155€, so I'll keep an eye out. If I can get something used, what do you advise? Power limits are at about 300W, but space is at a premium right now.
  10. I want to game triple-a titles like GTA V, and I can't choose between the 1050 and 1050Ti, the only thing I'm considering is the extra 2GB of VRAM. Are the extra 30$ for the Ti version worth it, or are 2GB enough? Going to upgrade in 2 years, give or take.
  11. Do you have any suggestions? Today I kept looking at it trying to figure out a way that wouldn't involve unecessary wire cutting or the sacrifice of other devices, and came up with nothing.
  12. I'm trying to mod a Micro-USB Type B cable for power-only, and I don't know the color coding. I searched for it, but some colors were different and I didn't want to play guess-the-colors later on. The picture is a Google Drive link, 'should' take you there. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B0uC6ynm9DVJRzNwNDJSaUI3QzQ/view?usp=drivesdk Which ones do I cut?
  13. ...that is WAYYY faster than anything I've ever used. But those powerline adapters are worth their weight in gold, if you only knew how many networks I have on my building...
  14. i will be using powerline adapters so I can run cables instead of wi-fi my question is: can i run the phone line AND internet through a powerline adapter like this one? http://www.tp-link.pt/products/details/cat-18_TL-PA4020PKIT.html
  15. yeah, but the house phone has a different signal than internet. can i run both of them separated through the powerline or the signals might get messed up?
